Hi everyone,
Happy Tuesday! We hope you are having a lovely day. It’s another gorgeously, sunny day out today – a little cooler than yesterday, but Spring weather has officially arrived!! Goodbye puffy coats, goodbye heavy boots haha.
Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring another one of our lovely quilt designs, this week’s by Stephanie Palmer of Late Night Quilter. Stephanie created her blog, Late Night Quilter, because that is what she started out as – working full-time during the day (as well as being a full-time mama), and quilting at night. Such a cute name. As she started to get more involved in the quilting world, her blog and brand quickly grew…and she saw herself being more in the quilting industry.
Now, along with her friend Michelle, they run Late Night Quilter – a long arm quilting service and pattern design company based in Austin, Texas. Their style is cool and modern, just like our fabric designs, so we knew they would be a great fit from the start! For our Free Projects Program, Stephanie created her Summer of the Sound Quilt, featuring It’s a Bird’s Life by Heather Rosas, which truly showcases the pretty greens and pinks in this collection. The star designs make this quilt truly unique, and would make a fantastic bed quilt or wall decor. Just stunning!

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! Hope everyone is having a great day. Today is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. Brings us back to our childhood, when there was nothing better than a pb&j sandwich with milk. Mmmm.
Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring an awesome quilt shop located in Utah, Just Sew Highland. Just Sew Highland has a wonderful selection of diverse fabric collections, from more traditional to more modern. As well, they have “blocks of the month” on their blog, where they feature projects made by their customers. They recently shared a stunning quilt on their Instagram, with our Wildflowers by Alisse Courter Collection. Eva took the challenge, and created Gigi Thimble’s Fresh Cuts Quilt. Fresh Cuts is such a perfect choice because of the lovely tulip designs. The quilt looks fresh, happy, and spring-y, getting us ready for the new season. We adore the mix of prints that Eva chose from Wildflowers, and that she chose to keep the background white so that the flowers could really pop! The quilt kit is also available at Just Sew.

Just in time for the Easter weekend! Thank you for tagging us on Instagram, Just Sew Highland! We are so in love with this version of the Fresh Cuts Quilt, with our Wildflowers Collection. You can find more from Just Sew Highland on their website, Facebook, and Instagram. And with that, have an epic rest of the day!

Hi everyone,
Happy Tuesday! We hope you are having a lovely day. We forgot to mention that yesterday was National Puppy Day, and wanted to give a shout-out to our favorite little snuggles. We adore you!
Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring one of our quilt patterns from our Free Projects Program, our Crossroads Quilt by Harding Hill Designs. Crossroads is an intricate, but stunning quilt design that is composed of a multitude of half square triangles (HSTs) sewn together. Together they intertwine to create an absolutely beautiful “cross” design, the centerpiece of the whole quilt. Because of the complexity of Crossroads, it would be a showstopper as a bed quilt or wall design. All the intricate work would be absolutely worth it. Promise. As well, it looks amazing with our vivacious Gypsy Lane by Jane Farnham Collection!

This one is for all you enthused quilters!! Want to make your own Crossroads Quilt? Click MORE for the full instructions.

Hi everyone,
Happy Friday!! Happy First Day of Spring!! And…it’s International Day of Happiness! The sun is out and bright, we’re surrounded by a fabric wonderland, and there’s lots of laughter in the office – it’s definitely looking to be an extra fantastic day!
Starting off Spring right with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a stunning quilt by Jenni Berg Sews, featuring our Paisley Please by Jackie McFee Collection. Jenni Berg, of Jenni Berg Sews, is a fiber artist and quilting instructor from Pocatello, Idaho. Jenni is passionate about what she does, adores quality fabrics that are bright and bold, and enjoys interesting techniques. Aside from teaching, Jenni also creates and sells quilts on her Etsy Shop. All of her quilts are fun and happy, and she also does custom orders. Jenni shares her latest works on her Instagram, where we found the beginnings of her Paisley Please Quilt!

We were so in awe with each design she created, 9 in total, so it was just magical seeing the finished quilt come to life! Each “square” is completely different, almost like individual mini quilts, but they work so wonderfully together to create one masterpiece. And the vibrant orange and purple hues in our Paisley Please Collection just pop, and make for a really unique and modern quilt. We could really tell how much love and talent went into this quilt!

Thank you so much, Jenni, for sharing your Paisley Please Quilt with us, and for the fabric love. We are so happy you enjoyed working with our Paisley Please Collection. You can check out more from Jenni Berg on her blog, Facebook Page, Instagram, and Etsy Shop. So much happiness in one post, it’s the perfect way to end the week!

Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! We hope you are all having a fantastic day so far!! There’s one more day until Spring, and we can’t wait!! Want to know something else that’s sweet? Today is National Chocolate Caramel Day. Um, yes it’s a thing. I mean, chocolate and caramel are delicious on their own; together they’re just magic!
Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a project from one of our pattern designs, Chris Hoover of Whirligig Designs. One of the first projects featured in our Free Projects Program, our Box Trot Quilt by Whirligig Designs continues to be a favorite! The linear, box-y design of our Box Trot Quilt makes it perfect for highlighting many different fabric designs into one quilt. This quilt gives the sewer a lot of creative freedom to match different colors and designs together, to create a beautifully uniform look. We’ve used our Box Trot quilt to highlight different fabric collections, but love the idea of using it as a modern graduating or collage quilt too.

We decided to have our Box Trot Quilt sewn up in one of our Fall 2014 collections, Wildflowers by Alisse Courter. The warm peach, chartreuse, and grey tones work wonderfully together in this block quilt. Chris quilted Box Trot for us, and gosh, it looks so pristine and perfect in person – just as it does in our template (but better!). Chris is an extremely talented quilter; the floral quilting works perfectly with Wildflowers. The result is a gorgeous, clean-looking quilt that would add a great pop of color to any feminine space.

Thank you SO much, Chris, for the incredible quilt pattern and for sewing the physical quilt for us. We absolutely LOVE it! You can find the free PDF printout for the Box Trot Quilt on our website here. As well, be sure to check out more from Chis on her website. And with that, have a terrific day!
