Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! How has everyone’s week been so far? We hope everyone is having an awesome one!! :)

It’s time for our Thankful Thursday this week! Today we are going to thanking another of our wonderfully talented quilt designers – Nancy Purvis of Owen’s Olivia. She has a fabulously modern design esthetic so get ready for a stunning quilt feature with our In The Navy Collection!

Nancy Purvis shares her love for sewing, quilting, and things creative on her blog Owen’s Olivia. Nancy dedicates a part of her blog to her home and home décor – she and her family had moved into their first home in 2008 and she has since been documenting the interior design progress on her blog! She adores more traditional living spaces and adds her own touch with everything, but is greatly inspired by Scandinavian design, mid century modern, whimsical spaces, and industrial and minimalist designs.

Furthermore, she encompasses this same style esthetic in her quilt and pattern designs! Nancy has an Etsy shop that features her patterns and quilts. Nancy created an exclusive, beautiful quilt design with our In The Navy by Jackie McFee collection called Seeing Stars – uniform star and square designs amidst negative space, perfectly showcasing the collection’s gold and nautical-themed patterns. The Seeing Stars Quilt is free to download, and can be found on our website here!

You can find more from Nancy on her blog, Facebook, Instagram, Etsy Shop, and Pinterest. Thanks so much for reading this week’s Thankful Thursday – Have a great day!

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a lovely day. It’s rainy and dreary here today, but you know what they say…April Showers bring May Flowers! But for now, to brighten our day we still have our Bright Now Giveaway going on! Today is the last day to enter, so if you haven’t yet – be sure to here!

Today we are bringing to you another stunning quilt tutorial for this week’s How To’s Day! The quilt design we are sharing with you is Quilt Bars by Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis – a simplistic, yet fresh and versatile quilt that works with a multitude of different fabric designs.

The clean cut lines of this quilt design by Tammy give a very modern and geometrically pleasing look, perfect to showcase coordinating fabric colors and patterns. For this tutorial, we have used our Mint Condition by Jackie McFee Collection and the mint & grey patterns compliment each other perfectly in this quilt!

This would be a great quilt to gift, for both genders and any age! We can imagine this quilt with some soft pastels for a “baby’s first quilt” or this quilt in dark navy hues for a boy quilt. So many possibilities! You can get the PDF version of this tutorial on our website, in the our Free Projects Program section, but today we are going to share the tutorial with you on the blog. Be sure to also check out Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis, as well as her Facebook Page, Pinterest, and Etsy!

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday everyone!! We hope you are all having a great day. Today is March 14th…or 3.14! Physicist Larry Shaw took a look at the calendar, noticed the correlation between the day and π (3.1415…), and made the day official! The day has now been celebrated for 26 years…because I mean, who wouldn’t want a reason to celebrate and eat piE too! So, kick back and relax (it’s just about the weekend!), enjoy a piece of pie, and Happy Pi Day! :)

To end our week, we have our weekly Fan Friday for you all. Today we are sharing with you a project using our Gray Matters by Jackie McFee Collection. Nancy, from Cache Creek Quilts, absolutely loves all things quilt-related. Nancy began her love for the craft of quilting when her sons left home, and though she started sewing at a young age, got her passion for quilting from a friend and never turned back!

Nancy also has a blog where she shares her quilting projects and stories, as well as an Etsy shop to display her new creations. Along with quilting, Nancy does enjoy sewing other projects too, such as her potholders. She uses pretty floral and nature-inspired fabrics for her potholders, which can add a feminine flair to any kitchen display. Nancy loves our Gray Matters by Jackie McFee Collection and used our fabric for some potholders that she made. With Gray Matters, the potholders are fun and would make any kitchen décor more lively and bright!

We used our Paisley Please by Jackie McFee Collection for this quilt, which makes it very fresh, vibrant, and pretty. This would be the perfect quilt for snuggling up with a book on those cooler nights, to use as an esthetic piece to vamp up a room, or even as wall décor!
