Happy Monday everyone! We hope you have all had a fantastic and relaxing weekend. In the midst of this cold weather, we are trying to think positive that warmer weather is near. With Spring officially here, it will only be a matter of time until pretty flowers and little creatures will start to immerge from hibernation. We are super excited for all the lovely colors to come that will add liveliness to our current dreary state. With that, we are inspiring you with a very girly and captivating collection today…our Petite Plume Collection by Andrea Turk for Cinnamon Joe. This collection has a very rich and exotic feel to it, with the touches of sparkle and gold with the warm tone of turquoise, chartreuse, ruby, and violet. This whole collection is very majestic and elegant, and gives off the same feel as Petite Plume especially in color palette. Happy Tuesday! We hope you are doing well. With the hype of St. Patty’s Day slowly fazing out now, it only gives us more reason to start conjuring up fun ideas for Easter. Yup, we are super into the holidays if you haven’t already noticed (hehe). One of our latest How To’s days was an informative how-to tutorial on sewing on a button (the easiest of ways!) – if you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to here (It will also help with today’s tutorial!).

This week’s How To’s Day is for the most adorable corduroy, overall dress that we like to call our Tiny Adventures Dress.  This dress is perfect for any little girl who loves to explore and venture to places of great imagination, who believes in fairytales and following their dreams. That is why the name of this dress if exceptionally fitting, because wearing our overall dress can only lead to the wildest and most magical of adventures! :)

It has been such a wonderful experience being able to partner with such creative minds who have created quilt designs that perfectly encapsulate our fabric collections. Happy Friday everyone!! We hope you are all having a great day. Today is March 14th…or 3.14! Physicist Larry Shaw took a look at the calendar, noticed the correlation between the day and π (3.1415…), and made the day official! The day has now been celebrated for 26 years…because I mean, who wouldn’t want a reason to celebrate and eat piE too! So, kick back and relax (it’s just about the weekend!), enjoy a piece of pie, and Happy Pi Day! :)

To end our week, we have our weekly Fan Friday for you all. Today we are sharing with you a project using our Gray Matters by Jackie McFee Collection. Nancy, from Cache Creek Quilts, absolutely loves all things quilt-related. Nancy began her love for the craft of quilting when her sons left home, and though she started sewing at a young age, got her passion for quilting from a friend and never turned back!

Nancy also has a blog where she shares her quilting projects and stories, as well as an Etsy shop to display her new creations. Along with quilting, Nancy does enjoy sewing other projects too, such as her potholders. She uses pretty floral and nature-inspired fabrics for her potholders, which can add a feminine flair to any kitchen display. Nancy loves our Gray Matters by Jackie McFee Collection and used our fabric for some potholders that she made. With Gray Matters, the potholders are fun and would make any kitchen décor more lively and bright!

Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It was Spring Forward yesterday, so although we will get the benefit of having more sunshine throughout the day…getting up to having lost an hour on Sunday was definitely not fun. Alas, this only means that Spring is coming soon! :)

Let’s start off this week with our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Fox Friends by Allison Cole collection, from Winter 2014. Fox Friends is another one of our kid-friendly, novelty collections that we just absolutely adore!! The main hues in Fox Friends are pink, mint, red, and brown creating a very sweet and ethereal feel to the collection. The adorable foxes, friendly clouds, and gentle birds make this a very happy and quirky collection, perfect for all the tiny adventurers you know! Fox Friends would make the prettiest dresses and skirts, or a woodsy themed bedroom! Imagine some lovely curtains, pillows, or girly quilt with our Fox Friends collection…oh how cute right?!! One fashion collection that is inspiring us this week is Calvin Klein’s  Spring 2014 RTW collection. The colors in his latest collection are soft and subtle, but with tiny splashes of color that make a statement. The main color palette of this collection is green hues, pinks, creams, and browns. The mixture of these soft colors are very springtime and vacation appropriate, with a very relaxed and beach-y feel.

We especially love this outfit, as well as this one and this one as they especially encapsulate the mood of Fox Friends. The feel of this collection and choices in hues reminds us of our Fox Friends by Allison Cole color palette. You can check out the full collection here.
