Hi everyone,
Happy Thursday! We hope you are having a wonderful day so far. We are excited because today means that it’s one day closer to the weekend – YAY!! :) If you haven’t seen our latest How To’s Day, we shared our adorable, new Teeny Tiny Play Set project by Tie Dye Diva Patterns. You can find the full tutorial, with patterns, HERE and HERE!
It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are taking the time to thank one of our wonderful project designers. This week, we are featuring Veronica Koh Eischeid of VeronicaMade. VeronicaMade is the blog created by Veronica to share her passion for all things creative, fabric-, and sewing-related. Veronica graduated with a degree in journalism and a double minor is Spanish & design, and was an editor for the Better Homes & Gardens Creative Collection for 3 years! Along the way, she has continued to pursue her love for crafting – sewing, quilting, making jewelry, paper crafting, hand lettering, knitting, crocheting, cooking, and more. As well, she started an Etsy Shop to share her little handmade trinkets. On her blog, VeronicaMade, Veronica shares her latest creations, unique tutorials, and as well as some more personal ventures.

We had the pleasure of partnering with Veronica on a quilted project for our Free Projects Program! Veronica created a wonderful quilted pillow design called the Modern Cross Pillow with our Birds of a Feather Collection and we absolutely adore the modern and simplistic look of this pillow. The main pattern is a floral cross made up of equilateral triangles to give a fun, pinwheel effect to the design. We love how this pillow looks with our floral-infused Birds of a Feather Collection, but can imagine this pillow with our Fresh Solids or any of our other collections. Add this stunning accent pillow to your sofa or bed to add some freshness to your decor!

Thank you SO much, Veronica, for working with us and for creating a wonderful quilted pillow for us! You can find the full, free pattern for the Modern Cross Pillow HERE. As well, be sure to check out Veronica’s blog, Etsy Shop, and Flickr for lots more!! Have a terrific rest of the day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is doing well! We are hosting a new Winsday this week; we are giving away our Frolicking Forest FQ Bundle on our Facebook Page. We’re asking you to let us know what your favorite Summer dessert is, and the answers thus far have been making us oh-so hungry. Yum yum! :)
Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our incredible project designers, Jessica George of Sweetbriar Sisters. Sweetbriar Sisters is a wonderful pattern shop dedicated to adorable little stuffies, applique designs, and other little fun sewing projects. The Sweetbriar Sisters‘ esthetic is super sweet and cuddly, and we love how darling all of the stuffies are designed to look. All of their patterns are super easy to follow and fun to make, and they also include material descriptions and tutorials on their website. Some of our favorite little stuffies are Beta the Bunny and Dalton the Dragon (all equally adorable, so difficult to choose!), but our hearts are fond for one particular duo…

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jessica of Sweetbriar Sisters for our Free Projects Program. Jessica created an uber-sweet mother & baby elephant duo pattern for us, and we just could not contain our squeals the first time we saw them in person. SO CUTE!! We chose our Fruit Stand by Jane Farnham Collection for these little guys, and it could not have been a more perfect choice! The colors are so fun and bright, and make these elephants perfect for a modern nursery or playroom. We have seen so many toy plushies in high-end retail stores, so these are a great way to follow the trends…and have fun while making them too! You can get the full, free pattern for these Endearing Elephants on our website HERE.

We wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Jessica for creating the most adorable elephant pattern for us!! We have gotten so many positive responses on this little duo already, and cannot wait to see the elephants that are created by you. If you do create your very own, we would love to see. You can send your pictures to info@camelotfabrics.com. Be sure to check out Sweetbriar Sisters for all of their amazing patterns, as well as their Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Have a great day, everyone!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday. Today we are featuring one of our incredibly talented and wonderful pattern designers, Anne Sullivan of Play Crafts. Play Crafts is a one-stop destination for crafters and quilters of all skill-levels, a place where sewing enthusiasts can find the necessary tools dedicated to crafters. The goal of Play Crafts is to inspire everyone’s creativity and inner (and not-so-inner) artist! Play Craft provides crafters with fun patterns and tutorials that are easy-to-follow and beautiful, as well as a wonderful “Quilt Design a Day” (QDAD) group that allows quilters to showcase their latest quilt designs/creations influenced by different color combinations. Such a fantastic way for quilters to let their imaginations run wild.
Play Crafts is run by some very crafty people too: Anne Sullivan, Gillian Smith, and Jane Pinckard. Anne Sullivan, the Creative Director, is a creative, quilter, pattern designer, artist, and has a PhD in computer science. We had the privilege of partnering with Anne, who created some very modern and beautiful quilt designs for us. We absolutely love Anne’s clean, yet playful design style and are so thrilled with the patterns she created for our Free Projects Program. The Farm Stand Quilt is a pretty and simplistic design that showcases a fabric collection perfectly in its vertical cascade. We love how versatile this design is; we can create an ombre effect or interchange patterns of similar color palettes to create a fun look! We used Farm Stand to showcase our Fruit Stand by Jane Farnham for Camelot Fabrics Collection, and we absolutely love it!

You can download the free PDF for the Fruit Stand Quilt on our website. Be sure to check out Play Crafts for lots more – on their website, Twitter, Facebook, flickr, and Instagram. They have so much creative and innovative content, that you are sure to get inspired!! Thank you Play Craft and Anne for an amazing quilt pattern. There’s more to come as well, so stay tuned. Have a great day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday! We hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far. Have you been following our Summer 2014 Launch Week? There are 5 new collections for Summer 2014, and we have been launching a new one everyday this week. Be sure to see our latest collection launches on our Facebook, blog, and website. Let us know which is your favorite thus far! And while you’re on our Facebook, be sure to enter our Licensed Fabrics Giveaway – you could win 5 yards of some favorite licenses.
It’s also time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are taking the time to thank our wonderful friends at Westcott. Westcott has been one of the world’s leading scissors brands for over 140 years. Founded in 1872 by Henry Westcott in Seneca, New York, the Westcott Brand has gone through two World Wars and the Great Depression. Over the years, Westcott has expanded its product range to other cutting tools, office and school supplies, and craft supplies (such as lettering and trimming tools). Their wide range in products has allowed them to enter new markets, however what has stayed the same is their high-quality and well-made products. Westcott is a worldwide, trusted brand for all your cutting tool needs!

Westcott has been super generous and wonderful, as they had provided us with lots of goodies to try out with our fabric and crafting products (felt and ad-fab™). Some of the products that they let us test out were the Trimair Paper Trimmer, Multi-Purpose Trimmer, Titanium Precision Scissors, and extra blades. We have had the best of time getting to test out all the cutting tools, and we can definitely uphold to them being one of the best in the world! The paper trimmers cut through paper seamlessly, and we have been using their scissors for our fabric, ad-fab™, and felt.
Thank you SO much, Westcott, for being so sweet! We have also collaborated with them on a couple of past festivals, such as CreativFest and ScrapFest – we sent them our felt and ad-fab™ for their workshops. As well, look for more collaborations with Westcott and Camelot Fabrics in the near future – we cannot wait!! Have a wonderful day, everyone!! :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday!! We hope everyone is having a colorful day! It’s bright and sunny here, and we are feeling great! :) It’s the perfect day to wear a flowy, maxi dress such as Burda Style’s Smocked Maxi Dress. We created our own variations of the dress, and shared them on the blog this week. Be sure to check it out HERE! :)
It’s also time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! This week, we are taking the time to thank one incredible company, Aurifil! Founded in 1983, Aurifil is an Italian-based company that specializes in creating the utmost quality of high-quality cotton threads. Aurifil’s threads are the leading choice for sewing and quilting enthusiasts for their wide variety in color choices, variety in thread weights, and of course, their fantastic quality. They have a great selection of wool, cotton, and invisible threads – threads for all your project needs! As well, Aurifil is modern and fresh, always coming out with new ideas and innovative products and working with the best in the industry. They also work with fabric companies and designers to create thread collections, and are very active on social media & the sewing and quilting blogging community.

We had the absolute pleasure of chatting and meeting Alex Veronelli from Aurifil at this past Spring Quilt Market. It was wonderful getting to meet him in person and, as we had already knew, was such a great person to chat with. We were super excited that they were interested in working with us, and we decided to start things off with a couple of collaborative giveaways. Our first giveaway was our Penelope Collection, along with a coordinating box of Aurifil threads that we handpicked. Our last giveaway was with our Itty Bitty by Andrea Turk Collection, and Aurifil also generously allowed us to give away some more thread goodies!! We also received a box of Aurifil threads for our projects, which we will be using in future How To’s Day posts. We are so thankful for the incredible generosity from Aurifil, we cannot thank Alex and Kim enough. And…we are also very excited for what is to come! ;)

We are so sure that all our fellow sewing enthusiasts are familiar with Aurifil threads, but if not, be sure to check out their website, as well as their Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest. You’ll be happily mesmerized by all the stunning & delicious threads!! Thank you, oh so much, Aurifil and we cannot wait for what is to come. Have a fantastic day!! :)
