Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I hope you all are having a wonderful one!!

Time to end this week with our Fan Friday! In honor of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie launch today, we thought it would be perfect to share a Star Wars Quilt created by Ashley Tabatha Quilts. Ashley realized she had a mishmash of pieces of our Star Wars fabric, and decided to do something with them rather than to keep hoarding them. Her idea? A quilt! She chose a geometric, repeat pattern quilt and mix-and-matched the prints. All of the designs are different, but we love how the colors still blend well together – those blues, reds, yellows, and blacks – it truly encompasses everything we adore about Star Wars. Her quilt still needs to be sewn and quilted… but we just couldn’t wait to share it!! Especially on this most anticipated day!

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a lovely day. Have you entered our Winter Wonderland Giveaway yet? Be sure to head on over to our Facebook Page to enter.

Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a couple of quilts done for us by Vicki of Orchid Owl Quilts. Vicki is truly a quilting goddess, and we adore working with her! We are kind of obsessed with her Instagram too – she’s always posting something new and beautiful – we recommend all quilters to check it out! One quilt she did for us was our Box Trot Quilt, with our Mickey Mouse and Friends collection. We love how the primary colors in this collection just pop. especially with the black borders around alternating rectangles. It perfectly brought together our whole Mickey Mouse and Friends section!

The other quilt she did for us was the Crossroads Quilt, featured in our Nordic section. This quilt is definitely very intricate – especially with all the little, alternating triangles – and Vicki did such a fantastic job. It was a stunning backdrop to our Nordic palette chair. So cozy and warm!

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I hope you are having a fantastic one!! We had our Secret Santa and cookie exchange in the office, so we’re all a little hopped on sugar and presents this morning. Can’t every day be like this? ;)

Time for our Fan Friday! Today we are sharing a darling mini quilt Ida of IdaRatherBeQuilting made for the Cut Up and Quilt Mini Swap. Ida is big fan of negative space, especially as it gives a fresh and modern look to a quilt. She doesn’t always gravitate towards bold geometrics, but little pops are always fun with negative space. She had some of our Emilia double gauze fabric left from the quilt she made for us for QM, and decided to create this gorgeous quilt – with a stunning lily design. She calls it the Lily Gauze quilt.

How pretty is that? We hope the quilter who received the Lily Gauze quilt adores it as much as we. We are so happy Ida enjoyed working with this collection, and made something extraordinary with the fabric leftovers. Be sure to check out more from Ida on her blog and Instagram. Have an incredible weekend, everyone!

04 December

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all having a lovely day.

It’s time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our Flower Power Quilt by Quilt Doodle Designs. Flower Power is a more traditional-type quilt design, which includes beautiful floral cutouts and appliqued yo-yo centers. Around each flower is a border of small squares, which add a really fun detail. A lot of work, but visually worth it!

We chose to feature our Petite Plume by Andrea Turk collection, which was perfect with the powerful flowers in the quilt pattern. The bird/floral/feather prints in chartreuse, navy, and coral colorways matched together to create a sophisticated and clean design. We enjoyed Cindy of Quilt Doodle Designs’ unique style, and we had a wonderful time collaborating with her on this quilt pattern.

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a fantastic day. We haven’t updated you all on any national food days in a while… so Happy National Baklava Day! ;)

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our Framed Quilt, designed by Chris Hoover of Whirligig Designs. Framed is a fun and modern quilt design, consisting of connected “frames” in vertical lines. This quilt does not have a border, so it has a cool look of the frame repetitions continuing off the quilt. You can have a lot of creative fun with this one. We chose to feature our sunset-inspired Fresh Solid colors, with a line of Wildberry, Geranium, Grapefruit, and Chamomile. To add a pop, we chose our Tide and Amethyst colors for the background. We love how our Solids Framed quilt looks like modern art!
