Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! We hope you all are feeling great today. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! Also, it’s the last day to enter our Scented FQ Bundle Giveaway, so be sure to check it out here if you haven’t yet.

It’s also time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our tutorial for our Fringed Wall Quilt by Made by Marion – an absolutely stunning quilt that is a work of art. We’ve used different fabric patterns in fun, geometric alignments to create an ornate and modern design, and the fringe adds that extra bit of oomph. Our fringed wall quilt is definitely nicely sized, and therefore would be a showstopper piece for that blank wall space “you don’t really know what to do with yet” ;)

It would also look fantastic above a bed or chest of drawers – wall decor at its finest! We’ve featured our fringed wall quilt with our Botanical Collection, and adore how rich and earthy the designs look together in the quilt.

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! We hope you all had an awesome week!! Today is Friday the 13th…ooh! Is anyone superstitious or have any ‘freaky Friday” stories to share? As for something not so scary, we’re hosting our Scented FQ Bundle Giveaway on our Facebook Page! Be sure to head on over there to enter! :)

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday! Today we are featuring some incredibly beautiful quilts created by the talented Sharon Challenger, of ShaShaLaRue Quilts. ShaShaLaRue Quilts is Sharon’s online Etsy Shop, a place where she shares her latest quilt creations, all handmade – and made with love. Sharon’s quilt esthetic is modern and colorful, and she shares a multitude of different quilt styles for boys and girls, babies and toddlers. She mentions that quilts can be used for so many things – as playmats, for tummy time, for a picnic at the park, on the beach, for cuddling with on the sofa, or when you need a hug – and we couldn’t agree more. There’s nothing more comforting than snuggling up with a cozy quilt – and some pretty fabric!

Sharon chose our Rise & Shine Collection to create some amazing quilts for her shop. We found her through Instagram, and just had to share! The first is her geometric Triangle Quilt – our yellow, turquoise, and grey designs working perfectly together in the interchanging triangles pattern. Soso pretty and would make for the perfect gift for a mama-to-be!

Sharon also created a quilt designed by Andrea Johnson, from the book “Modern Designs for Classic Quilts”, featuring Rise & Shine. Loving how the quilt still looks fresh and light, perfect for a nursery or little nugget’s room! Her quilts have a modern and crisp look, so they are also perfect for a home that is more contemporary or current in esthetic.

We are so happy that you love our Rise & Shine Collection, Sharon. Thank you for the fabric love, and for sharing them with us on Instagram. Be sure to check out more from Sharon at her Etsy Shop // ShaShaLaRue Quilts, on Facebook, and on Instagram. And with that…another week has come and gone! Have a fantastic weekend, everyone! :)

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you all are having a fantastic day. It’s sunny, it’s cheery, but it’s still cold here haha. Spring, where are you? We promise to greet you with open arms.

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday. Today, we wanted to share a couple of projects from one of our pattern designers – The Cloth Parcel. Run by a dynamic mother-daughter duo, Audrey and Diane, The Cloth Parcel is an online sewing, quilting, and crafting supplies shop. From a beautiful selection of fabrics to all of your notion-needs, The Cloth Parcel is dedicated to supplying you with all your crafting needs. As well, they sell wonderful kits  for some awesome projects. In addition to running their online supplies shop, Audrey and Diane also create and sell their own quilt patterns!

We have had the pleasure of working with Audrey and Diane, to create a quilt pattern for our Free Projects Program. Their Tumbling Jewels Quilt is a stunner, and has definitely been a favorite on the interwebs! We decided to have a physical Tumbling Jewels Quilt made up with our London Fog Collection (as seen above!), and it looks absolutely fantastic. As always, beautiful quilt work by the girls. We had a blast styling it, and we can’t wait to feature it in upcoming events.

As well, the girls recently launched a new quilt design on their website called Theory of Refraction. Aside from the super cool name (any fellow physics buffs?), their Theory of Refraction Quilt is so lovely to look at. They chose to feature our Peacock Garden by Jane Farnham Collection on the pattern cover, and it looks wonderful! Inspired by a prism, we adore how the colors and patterns intertwine with one another in this quilt design, to create a beautiful look. Great choice, girls!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! We hope you all are having a lovely day. Today is Pancake Day in the UK and Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday. Lots of reasons to eat yummy food! ;)

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring one of our wonderful projects from our Free Projects Program. Cheryl, of Meadow Mist Designs, created a stunning table runner pattern for us that we absolutely love. Her Best Wishes Table Runner is featured with our Paisley Please collection, the complimentary navy and orange hues working magically together. We love the simplicity and modern feel of this table runner, the perfect accessory to any bare table. Add some pretty white dishware, silver decor, and white tulips…and you have yourself a beautiful, cottage-inspired table setting.

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you all are having a wonderful day so far. Did you know…that today is World Nutella Day? Yup, it’s an official day dedicated to the incredibly delicious (and highly addictive!) chocolate, hazelnut spread that is amazing with pretty much anything (or on it’s own. Spoonfuls? We’re not judging haha!).

Time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our favorite magazines, Craft Ideas. Their latest Winter 2014 edition was also the big reveal of their new look. Everything got revamped and updated, and it looks fantastic!!  Complete with a new logo, the updated magazine now features a “New Products” section (a breakdown of the latest craft tools and materials), Book Reviews, a “Green Ideas” section (listings for eco-friendly products and companies), and highlights up-and-coming designers. As well, Craft Ideas will now be releasing a new printed issue every second month! We were always a fan of Craft Ideas, and were so excited that they were taking on this new venture.

Flipping through the Winter 2014 issue, you might recognize some familiar projects. Craft Ideas featured two of our free projects in their magazine. The first is our Cascading Chevrons Pillow, one of our favorites! You can find the free pattern on our website too. As well, they featured our Border Blast Quilt by one of our wonderful pattern designers, Larene Smith of The Quilted Button.

You can find out more from Craft Ideas on their website, Facebook Page, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube. And with that, we’re going to find us some Nutella…haha. Have a great day!
