Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday!! We hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Today is definitely the perfect day for a pumpkin spice latte and cuddling up in a thick, warm quilt. Whether we want it to come or not, Fall will be upon us in officially one week.

We have been excitedly getting prepared for Fall Quilt Market with our projects and other goodies, and can’t wait to share them with you all. For this week’s How To’s Day, we wanted to share with you one of our past, in-house free projects that so many of you enjoyed. Our Simple Stripes Baby Blanket is an easy patchwork blanket, that mimics the look of a quilt (without the need for advanced quilting skills). It’s adorable, cozy, and the perfect size to wrap your little nugget in. We had previously shared our tutorial on our blog with our Playground by Vita Mechachonis collection, with the subdued blue and tan hues making our baby blanket soothing and comforting.

We decided to create a fun version of our baby blanket with our Girl Power II collection – the bright colors make this blanket POP! As well, our Girl Power II collection makes it awesome for any little superheroine-in-training with the Wonder Woman, Batgirl, and Supergirl designs decorating the blanket. We love the idea of your little superheroine snuggled up in her favorite blanket, dreaming to her heart’s content on all the *super* things she wants to do, whether it be playing all day in the yard or having a tea party with all her favorite companions. And we know, all our Girl Power fellow enthusiasts will be loving this blanket just as much (if not, more!) than she does…

As mentioned, we had featured our Simple Stripes Baby Blanket as a DIY project on the blog, which you can find here. As well, we have a PDF version on our website that can be easily printed out for you to create. You can find it here, as well as our Free Projects Program.

Happy Monday! We hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It’s not the best of days here today, dreary and a forecast for rain, but we are feeling great after our Summer 2014 Collections Launch Week. If you have not seen all five new collections yet, be sure to check them out here! We also have coordinating free projects for you all, which we are sure you will love. We are also hosting our Licensed Fabrics Giveaway on our Facebook this week, so be sure to enter if you haven’t yet. The giveaway winner will be announced this Wednesday!

It’s time to start off the week with our Moody Monday! We are featuring one of our empowering collections this week, our Girl Power II by Camelot Design Studio Collection. Our Girl Power II Collection features all of your favorite strong, independent, and gorgeous superheroines – Wonder Woman, Batgirl, and Supergirl. This collection is all about showcasing strength, determination, and drive…which is showcased brilliantly in this fun and vivaciously-colored collection. The red, blue, and turquoise hues are exciting and bold – characteristics of our favorite superheroines – and the designs capture these gals in action, together and in their dedicated skus. This one is for your own, little superheroines – we love the idea of a Girl Power circle skirt, or an empowering quilt.

Roksanda’s Resort 2015 Collection encapsulates a very comic-book inspired feel that perfectly fits with our Girl Power theme today. Roksanda’s Collection is bold and exciting in color, combinations, and print. We absolutely adore the use of bright colors together, and especially the splattered designs – SO fun and beautiful!! This collection gives off a very strong and powerful feel, and goes very well with our Girl Power Collection. It’s time to launch our FIRST collection for our Spring 2014 COLLECTIONS LAUNCH WEEK! We are so excited to share this one with you. In the wise words of Beyoncé, “Who runs the world? Girls!”

With the great success of our last Girl Power collection, so many of you absolutely loving a girl-empowered collection, we are bringing to you our… Girl Power II Collection for Spring 2014!! This is a blazing 14 design collection, in a red, grey, and teal tonals, including all of your favorite women superheroes – Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Batgirl.

Girl Power II features designs including all three girls, but there are also prints dedicated to each individual heroine (perfect for fans!)! This is the perfect collection for all the powerful, relentless, and inspiring girls who aren’t afraid to be themselves!
