Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! It’s the second day of the week, but the first day back for us Canadians. It was an absolutely fantastic long weekend, with the weather being absolutely gorgeous – the perfect amount of coolness and sunshine = my kind of weather! As well, Quilt Market was this weekend and it was such a great market!! We hope you enjoyed all the pictures we posted on our Instagram; lots more to come soon! It’s also the last day to enter our Marvy/Uchida x Camelot Fabrics Giveaway – enter HERE if you haven’t yet. Good Luck! :)

We’ve got an absolutely brilliant How To’s Day for you. Today we are sharing our tutorial for our Lattice Table Runner – a gorgeous quilted table runner that will instantly add some sparkle to your dinning or coffee table! We absolutely LOVE switching up and playing around with room décor, because they are a fun way to change up a look quickly, and at a lower cost. We really love sharing our home décor projects with you because, not only are they great for sprucing up a room, but they are so much fun to make. Triple win!

Our Lattice Table Runner is such a beautiful centerpiece to add to any table; it is a statement piece on its own! The intricate latticework on the table runner makes for a very pretty, fun, and modern feel that would look great with any fabric choice. We really love how it looks with our What’s Cookin’ by Allison Cole, as we think it’d be the perfect attention-grabber for a dazzling dinning table! Match it up with some bright and colorful kitchen accessories, and you’ve got yourself a kitchen with a contemporary, but retro vibe. Absolute LOVE! We are in the mood for some ice cream sodas now ;)

It’s time for another Spring 2014 collection launch!! The next Spring collection we are sharing with you is…Folklore by Heather Rosas!

Heather Rosas’ Folklore is the epitome of festive happiness with its eclectic color palette of poppy red and bright turquoise. The colors together create a unique combination that is both modern and folk-inspire, with the leaves, floral blooms, and bird prints. With a Scandinavian influence, this collection is vivacious and charismatic, reminding us of festival season and our love for the outdoors. This collection reminds us that we need to start planning our Summer garden party! We can imagine a beautiful Farmer’s Market tote (imagine picking up fresh produce & cut flowers with this collection?), a cute summer frock, or some cloth napkins for your Summer gatherings!

We had the privilege of partnering up with Susan, who created an absolutely stunning quilt design for our Free Projects Program! The quilt she created is called Flying High, a very geometric and modern quilt design – we especially love the ‘flying geese’ element to it! This pattern has worked so wonderfully with all of our collections, such as our NEW Spring 2014 Spectrum Collection (shown below!). You can find the free pattern for Flying High here.

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a wonderful day. It’s Day TWO of our Spring 2014 Collections Launch. Have you seen the collections we’ve launched so far? Be sure to check out Star Wars III, Ultimate Spider-Man II, and Girl Power II. Lots more prettiness to come! :)

We have our How To’s Day for you!! Today’s tutorial is on a really adorable, fun kid’s tote – Our Tot’s Triangle Tote!! We remember being little girls always wanting to be just like our mommies; wearing her heels, putting on her makeup, dowsing ourselves in too much perfume, and of course, strutting around with her clothes and handbags. Now our kids don’t have to go through mommy’s things (although, they probably still will!) because we can make them their very own tote – kid-sized and friendly, but just as chic!   Our younger selves would feel so pretty and grown-up with our very own bag to match our mum’s, putting all the important things inside – like chapstick, animal crackers, and crayons – of course! ;)

We can even imagine little girls and boys going to the playground with our kid tote – the perfect companion for carrying all their park essentials (bubble, sand toys, and band-aids!). They can keep all of their newfound treasures inside too. And there’s even an interior pocket to keep all their special things safe! :)

How To's Day | DIY Tot's Triangle Tote Tutorial | Playground by Vita Mechachonis for Camelot Fabrics

We used Our Playground by Vita Mechachonis collection for this tutorial; a happy and playful collection inspired by another thing we miss most about our childhoods – going to the park to play with friends, swinging to our heart’s content, and hanging on the monkey bars. So many wonderful memories that make Playground especially nostalgic.

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! How has everyone’s week been going so far? Still a little cold here, but at least we’ve been having longer & brighter days. Warmer weather is hopefully just around the corner. Have you entered our Beyond the Backyard FQ Bundle Giveaway yet? Today is the last day, so tell us what your favorite thing about Spring is on our Facebook post to enter! :)

On to this week’s How To’s Day! We’ve got another fantastic free project to share with you all. Today we are sharing our Cascading Chevrons Pillow Tutorial – an absolutely stunning, decorative pillow that is the perfect accessory for any home design. Today, decorative pillows are extremely popular and an easy way to spruce up any space but they can get really pricey. As well, finding the right pillow to fit your home décor, style, or color palette adds an additional challenge.   With today’s tutorial, we have got the solution to all those problems and more!

Our chevron pillow is polished and contemporary, would fit the esthetic of any style (just by choosing different fabric prints!), pretty simple to make with our tutorial, and definitely cost-effective. We can imagine a sleek white couch or simple daybed adorned by a couple of our chevron pillows in bright, fun fabric choices. There are endless possibilities, but that’s the splendor of this tutorial!
