It’s time for our What We Love ♥ This week, we have definitely been inspired by the autumnal weather and all things Fall – rustic decor, richer colors, and comforting foods. With the cooler weather upon us, we have been enjoying staying indoors and snuggling up with a good book & some tea. We’ve also been enjoying all the outdoor festivities that Fall has to offer – apple picking, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, walks in the park, and jumping in leaves. There truly is something magical and indescribable about Autumn. Now on to what we love… ♥

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday!! We hope you are all having a wonderful day so far. We are getting excited for the long weekend as it will be Canadian Thanksgiving. Our tummies are rumbling just thinking about all the delicious food – pumpkin pie, turkey, cranberry sauce, and of course, mashed potatoes! YUM!!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring Quilters’ Digest, a fantastic full-color newspaper that is published four times a year, and is exclusively available in quilt shops. Quilters’ Digest is dedicated to providing up-to-date and forecasting information, inspiration, & ideas for the quilting hobbyists. Each issue features free patterns, readers’ quilt projects, fascinating fabric-related books, new fabric collections, & some other tips, tricks, and facts!

Readers can also contribute their thoughts and ideas to the column features, and provide feedback on what they would like to see next. It’s such a great source for up-to-date information for fabric enthusiasts, and best of all? It’s free!

Quilters’ Digest chose to feature our Girl Power II Collection in their latest issue (Issue #11), in their “New Fabric Collections” section, and we were so pleasantly surprised! It’s always fun seeing our collections being shared with fellow fabric enthusiasts, and seeing what everyone thinks. Quilters’ Digest wrote up a little feature on our Girl Power II collection saying that “this action-packed 14-piece collection will be a knock-out for the super hero girls in your life” – so cute, and we couldn’t agree more!

Thank you so much to Quilters’ Digest for the wonderful collection feature. We are so happy that you enjoy our Girl Power II Collection and have chosen to feature it in your latest issue. You can find Quilters’ Digest at most local quilt shops; you can find a store locator list HERE. You can also see our full Girl Power II Collection on our website. Have a super day, everyone! :)

It’s time to announce the winner of this week’s Winsday! This week, we hosted a Hard Felt Giveaway on our Facebook Page and wanted to know what you would create with the plethora of our pretty felt. Reading your comments, we loved seeing your creativity…and that we were the first you have heard of hard felt from. If any of you are familiar with using a silhouette machine or die-cuts, our hard felt is perfect for cutting out different shapes really easily for your crafting projects. The possibilities for using hard felt in your crafty projects are endless, and so many of you had really great ideas! We’re so happy that you loved the stack colors and prints that we chose for you.

But of course, we can only choose one lucky winner! We loved reading all the responses, but this week’s Winsday winner is…

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday!! We hope everyone is having a fantastic day so far. We are hosting our Felt Giveaway on our Facebook Page this week…be sure to head on over there to enter! :)

Time for our Moody Monday!! Today we are featuring one of our beautiful collections from Spring 2013 – Mint to Be by the Camelot Design Studio. Mint to Be is an exquisite collection of orange, mint, and navy hues featuring modern prints of ombre, florals, and lovely geometric shapes. The three main colors in this collection – navy, mint, and orange – all strong and beautiful on their own, are equally stunning in contrast to one another. This collection is fresh, upbeat, and playful…and would make a beautiful playsuit for a little one or an on-trend dress for you!

One collection that is reminiscent of our Mint to Be collection is that of Michael Kors’ Spring 2015 RTW Collection. Michael Kors’ latest collection is packed with a punch of color, texture, and silhouettes that we cannot wait to wear for the upcoming Spring and Summer seasons. We love the bold floral prints and nautical feel of the whole collection, but we especially adore this pastel blue combo. It definitely reminds us of a design from Mint to Be, and we would most definitely sport this whole look! You can check out Michael Kors’ full collection here.

Hi everyone,

Time to this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a fantastic fabric shop – Fabric Worm. Cynthia Mann, owner of Fabric Worm, has always been surrounded by craftiness, with her mum being an avid crafter and entrepreneur. As a little girl, she remembers picking out fabric with her mum to create matching dresses for her and her “Mandy and Jenny” dolls. Her mum has always been busy with her hands, making dough ornaments or sewing clothes, and is now an avid stamper and “Stampin’ Up” Representative. Inspired by mum, Cynthia also really loves to make handmade things but her choice is with pretty fabrics. She has two little boys and loves to make dinosaurs, robots and rocket ships, among other awesome boy things, for them!

Fabric Worm started online, as a small fabric Etsy Shop, and has now expanded to its own website and store. The definition of a ‘fabric worm’ is “a person devoted to fabric” and that is definitely the perfect representation of who they are, who we are, and who their followers are. Fabric Worm is also very active on social media, and has posted about their favorite collections. They have shared a couple of our collections (What a Gem, Let’s Go, and Playground), and the response from their fans was incredible!! It was so fun reading all the wonderful comments about our collections.
