Hello everyone!

Happy Monday! Hope you have all had a lovely and restful weekend. Today we have officially dipped below O°C and have seen our first glimpse of frosted sidewalks…the true sign that, though not all will be in a communal hoorah, winter is a-comin’!

Today we bring to you another Moody Monday, and in correlation with our current Winsday Giveaway, we are sharing our Mint to Be Moodboard!

Our Mint to Be fabric collection is an array of mint, orange, and blue hues in pretty floral, ombre, ikat, and mandala patterns. The three colors are stunning on their own, but placed together encapsulate a beautiful range of complements. The colors are equally vibrant and warm, and would be perfect for any future home decor projects, or for your (or your daughter’s) next party dress!

One recent Fall 2013 collection that is the perfect accompaniment to our Mint to Be collection is Michael Kors’s 2013 RTW. The main colors involved in this collection are vibrant orange, amber, blue, and green hues mixed together effortlessly with black and camo prints. The designs from this collection are almost futuristic, but still with a sleek and classic vibe with their tulip skirts, oversized coats, tweed blazers, and herringbone patterns. Though an abundance of different silhouettes and patterns, together they are seamless, as are the designs in our Mint to Be collection. This modern and out-of-this-world collection can be seen here.

If you adore this collection and would like to enter a chance to win a Mint to Be FQB…you’re in luck! We are giving away a Mint to Be FQB for last week’s Winsday, and you still have until this Wednesday to enter. Just tweet our hashtag #SEWSOCIAL and you will be officially entered. We will announce the winner on this week’s Winsday post. Stay tuned and good luck!! Click here for the complete giveaway information.

Hello everyone!

First of all, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Whether you are all decked out in a fabulous costume today or going out with the little ones for Trick-or-Treating, we wish you a boo-tiful and safe Halloween!

Being that today is Thursday…it is also Thankful Thursday! Today we have decided to take the time to thank one fantastic and vivacious lady, the beautiful Mdm Samm from Sew We Quilt. Mdm Samm has been such a wonderful supporter to us, has created many amazing projects for her blog using our fabrics, and overall has been the best cheerleader! We absolutely adore her!!

Here are some of her projects:

…Using our Simply Fashionista fabric, Mdm Samm created the most darling sewing bag (named the Tammy Bag) and a sweet thread catcher to match. We just adore the ruffles!!

As well, Mdm Samm sewed the perfect, hero-worthy quilt using our  Man of Steel fabric for her eldest who is a big Superman fan!! It is absolutely amazing, and would make any Superman fan swoon! We also featured her quilt in a past Fan Friday, which you can check out here.

And this is just the beginning! We are so ecstatic to be working with Mdm Samm and there is lots more to come. We are also the official sponsors of her next blog hop, The Boys Blog Hop, which will run from November 6th – 13th, 2013. We are SOO incredibly excited to see all the amazing and creative projects that will come from the blog hop!

Thank you Mdm Samm for being the ultimate cheerleader!! We are sure you have heard of this lovely lady, but here is her blog link to check out all her posts and blog hops.

Hi everyone!

It’s Monday!! Hope everyone is having a fantastic day. We are currently having a wonderful time at Quilt Market, day three!!

Let’s make this a great start to the week! With another Monday comes another Moody Monday. Today is the wonderful mix of chilly but sunny outside…such pretty autumn weather. Today’s weather has reminded us of one of our collections that is the perfect combination of yellow and gray color hues, the right juxtaposition of cool and bright. That’s right! Today’s Moody Monday is inspired by Gray Matters More by Jackie McFee.

Grazing the runways once again, we have found a noteworthy fashion collection that is very much in tune with Gray Matters. Calla’s RTW Fall 2013 Collection is an eccentric blend of bright pops of colors and neutrals, but it is the use of grays and yellows that really catches our eyes. The Fall 2013 Collection includes dresses, skirts, jackets, and more all infused with splashes of grays and yellows – we definitely approve! You can see the full collection by clicking here. This is one collection where gray really does matter…and so does yellow!

With the amass of positive feedback from Gray Matters, we had launched Gray Matters More by Jackie McFee in our new Fall 2013 collections. We are sure that all the Gray Matters fans will love this collection just as much. You can see the designs by clicking here. You can also follow Jackie on her blog, twitter, and Facebook!

Hi everyone!

Today is Friday!! It is also the day before Quilt Market…and we are pretty excited (*currently jumping around giddily while we post*). For today’s Fan Friday, we have decided to share with you all a couple of marvelous fan projects by Wendy from Creative Miscellany using our Girl Power fabric. Sure, all the Superhero men are pretty fantastic…but the super heroines are just as incredible. Here are some projects using our Girl Power fabric to prove just that!

The first fan project by Wendy is this darling top hat using our Girl Power Striped fabric. It’s absolutely fantastical with the broach, feathers, and iridescent veil!! Check below for some pictures.

Hi everyone!

I hope you all are having a fantastic Tuesday so far!! We are getting super excited for Quilt Market here (4 days!!)…we can’t wait! For today’s How To’s Day, we present to you our Half-Circle Design Studio Collection Skirt. You may recognize the skirt from last week’s dual-tutorials: sewing an invisible hem and installing a zipper; we had shown you a little preview but today we are bringing you the tutorial for it!

This half-circle skirt is the epitome of girliness and flirtiness – it’s sweet, fun, and the perfect skirt for that first date or engagement photos, and any time in between!

To make our Half-Circle Skirt we used 2140502 #2, Yellow & Gray Deco Fans, and 2140503 #1, Yellow & Gray Hexagons. Both patterns are from The Design Studio Collection.
