Hi everyone!

Happy Monday! Wishing everyone a blissful start to the week. We cannot believe that Christmas is officially a month away (seriously, where did the time go?!). We are so excited and happily getting into the holiday spirit, but there is still much to do! We’ve got lots of beautiful DIY projects in the works though…the perfect gifts for anyone!

And to add a little inspiration to your day, we’ve got today’s Moody Monday for you. Today we are sharing with you ourĀ The Design Studio Collection moodboard! The Design Studio Collection is a brilliant and bold collection, not just in color but also in print and patterns. The collection is a wonderful mix of chevrons, herringbone, hexagon, and fan prints in unexpected black, grey, yellow, and turquoise color combinations. The designs are vibrant and exuberant, adding some cheer to any home decor or wardrobe project! Have we got your gears turning for some amazing DIY gifts planned? ;)

Our eclectic collection is reminiscent of Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2013 RTW collection. Oscar used a mix of black, turquoise, yellow, and pink hues in his garments but varied with bold patterns. The silhouettes were classic and simple, but the fantastical prints made them even more special. The thick black stripes, the tulle turquoise dresses, and the ensembles of grey & yellow mixes make for the perfect supplement to our The Design Studio Collection! Be sure to check out the full Oscar de la Renta collection here.

We hope our collection and moodboard has given you a bit of inspiration this Monday! Here’s to a great start to another wonderful week. Until next time!

Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday! We hope everyone is having a brilliant day. It’s time for us to announce the winner of our Birds of a Feather giveaway. Allison Cole designed a stunning fabric collection, and we are so glad you all enjoy it too. We were absolutely amazed and tickled by all the original project comments, and had so much fun perusing through all the ideas. Thank you so much to everyone who participated in this giveaway; we sure have a lot of creative readers! But alas, only one person will be receiving this week’s fantastic FQ bundle. Be sure to check next week’s Winsday for another giveaway!

But now, it is time. The winner of our Birds of a Feather giveaway is… Louise Horler!

There were so many creative project ideas, but we thought Louise’s idea of using the fabric to create feathers for bird wings was ingenious! Her two children will look just darling in them. Please be sure to send us pictures of the finished project; we would love to see! Congratulations, Louise. Please send us your mailing address at info@camelotfabrics.com

Once again, thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway! There are still lots more opportunities to come, so be sure to stay tuned! We post 5 days a week on our blog, each day with a different theme, that we hope can give you some daily inspiration. Until next Winsday…

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a super, fantastic day. The season of holidays is coming up, and with the holidays come lots and lots of parties and reasons to celebrate. Of course we aren’t ones to complain; trust us, we love a good party, but we appreciate any way to make party planning a little easier (and a little more cost-effective!).

For toaday’s How To’s Day post, we are sharing with you our Chalkboard Fabric Banner Tutorial, using our chalkboard fabric. Now you can host a multitude of parties, while changing up the same banner…how awesome is that? Let’s get sewing!
