Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a great day. If you haven’t seen yet, we’ve launched three collections yesterday – Star Wars: Immortals, Marvel: Immortals, and DC Comics: Immortals. Yup, all of our bestselling designs from our past collections are BACK!

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring a gorgeous duffel bag pattern, the Dallas Vintage Duffel by Swoon Patterns. We had the duffel made up in-house with our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection, and are obsessed with our duffel! We love that it is over-sized because it makes for a perfect weekender bag, or for travelling. Travelling may not always be the most thrilling thing, but the Dallas Vintage Duffel will at least put you at ease when you’re waiting for your suitcases. Yours won’t be the drab, dark one! ;)

The duffel’s pattern was wonderful to follow along to, and the outcome is a structured bag you’ll use for years to come! With our Botanical Collection, it gives the duffel a fantastic vintage vibe. Soo in love with this one!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! We hope you all are feeling great today. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! Also, it’s the last day to enter our Scented FQ Bundle Giveaway, so be sure to check it out here if you haven’t yet.

It’s also time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our tutorial for our Fringed Wall Quilt by Made by Marion – an absolutely stunning quilt that is a work of art. We’ve used different fabric patterns in fun, geometric alignments to create an ornate and modern design, and the fringe adds that extra bit of oomph. Our fringed wall quilt is definitely nicely sized, and therefore would be a showstopper piece for that blank wall space “you don’t really know what to do with yet” ;)

It would also look fantastic above a bed or chest of drawers – wall decor at its finest! We’ve featured our fringed wall quilt with our Botanical Collection, and adore how rich and earthy the designs look together in the quilt.

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, and are having a good day back. It’s been chilly these days, but that didn’t stop us from heading out for some winter fun! Early Christmas celebrations, ice skating, and delicious crepes were some of our favorite activities from the weekend.

It’s time for this week’s Moody Monday! Today we are featuring our gorgeous Botanical Collection by Alisse Courter. Botanical is a wonderful collection of all things flora – the intricate floral, leaves, twigs, and damask prints are all stunning in a green, grey, and golden color palette. This brooding collection is warm and captivating, the rich tones reminding us of all things woods-y and autumnal. Botanical would make for a wonderful shift dress, for a garden party, with an accompanying headpiece. And how majestic would a Botanical quilt be, as a bed cover or wall decor – oh, so divine!

We adore Noon by Noor‘s Spring 2014 collection – it had a wonderfully feminine and soft feel to it, in both colors and texture. Silks, rose ruffles, tulle, extravagant jewels, and flora patterns were impeccable and made us want to twirl around & dance in any of the outfits! They were made for a magical night out. We especially adore this leaf printed dress, that reminds us of our Botanical Collection. We would definitely wear this stunning dress to our next fancy affair! ;)

We hope we have added a boost to your day, and have inspired you with our Moody Monday! Have a great day, everyone! :)

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday!! Today we are featuring one of our lovely project designers, Melissa Stramel of Lilac Lane Patterns! Melissa Stramel is a lover of all things floral! Whether it is tending to her garden, flower arrangement, or creating with floral fabrics, Melissa is always up for the challenge. While staying at home and sewing for her children, Melissa decided to combine her love for fabric & creating patterns by starting a business called Lilac Lane Patterns. After its success, Lilac Lane grew into a store in her hometown of Colby, Kansas called Creations Gallery. A pharmacist by training, Melissa has found the industry that encapsulates her skills and her loves perfectly! Melissa creates and sells her patterns under Lilac Lane, has a blog, and also has published a book! A very busy gal, indeed!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Melissa of Lilac Lane Patterns for a couple of projects for our Free Projects Program. Melissa has such a creative mind, and created some really unique patterns for us. The first project is her Butterfly Quilt, which has a very cool, scrappy look with adorable little “butterflies” in the quilt design. We absolutely adore it with our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection. As well, her genius “The Sky is Falling” Table Runner with our Fruit Stand by Jane Farnham Collection is so modern and fun!

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a lovely day so far. We are hosting another Winsday this week and are giving away our Beyond the Backyard FQB AND 2 Westcott Cutting Tools on our Facebook Page. Be sure to enter if you haven’t yet HERE!

It’s also time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our incredible pattern designers, Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs. Cheryl Brickey is a chemical engineer/patent agent by day and a quilter by night. Quilting and creating patterns involve a lot of technical skill, which in turn was the perfect hobby for Cheryl who also has a passion for sewing and fabrics. As a creative outlet, Cheryl was able to use her technical writing background to create her own quilting patterns as a pattern designer. Cheryl started her pattern company,  Meadow Mist Designs, to sell her patterns on Etsy. Since then, her success in the quilting world has grown immensely. Her quilts have been featured in quilt magazines, blogs, and her patterns are very popular!

CrackerLattice-Botanical

We had the privilege of working with Cheryl as one of our pattern designers for our Free Projects Program. Cheryl created the Cracker Lattice Quilt for us, which is a stunning, geometric quilt design that reflects her technical and engineering background perfectly.  This modern quilt pattern features a lovely double lattice design with triangle and diamond elements and its simplicity works so well with a multitude of colors and fabrics, such as our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection. We absolutely love the versatility of this modern quilt! You can find the pattern for Cracker Lattice here.

We want to thank Cheryl for creating such a stunning quilt design for us, and for the wonderful partnership. We cannot wait for what’s still to come. You can find the free PDF of our Cracker Lattice Quilt on our website. As well, be sure to check out more from Cheryl on her blog, Etsy, and Facebook. Have a great one!
