Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope everyone’s day is going awesome-ly!! :)

It’s time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our awesome quilt designers who recently launched a new quilting book. Jessie Kurtz of Harding Hill Designs, who designed our beautiful Crossroads Quilt, released her new book at Spring Quilt Market: One Block Remix – 10 Fresh Quilts from One Traditional Block.

The book, available in her Etsy Shop, features quilts that use a traditional 2-1/2″ strip block, but modernized into fun and different quilts, ranging from crib-sized to king. Such a brilliant concept, using the same block to make unique quilts. We were happy to send Jessie some fabric for her quilts, and love how they turned out!

The first is her Downtown Criss Cross Quilt, which features our Rise & Shine Collection. We love how the blues and yellows pop against the solid black! The second quilt featuring Camelot Fabrics is her Uptown Turnaround Quilt, with Wildflowers by Alisse Courter. Who knew equilateral triangles could be so fun!!

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday!! We hope you all are having a lovely day. Have you entered our Elixir Giveaway yet? We want to know what your favorite Pantone 2015 color is. You can enter on our Facebook Page here :)

It’s time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring Needle Travel, a fantastic fiber & fabric travel guide that is super useful for anyone who loves fabric. Needle Travel is a reference book of quilt & craft shops in the United States (we hope they expand!), complete with contact information and addresses. The shops are organized by state and are in alphabetical order, so you can easily find the shop nearest you (super convenient when you travel and want to peruse shops in an unknown area!). As well, Needle Travel features a legend to easily guide you on what each shop specifically carries (fabric, yarn, needlepoint, etc). The travel guide is updated each year with added shops & changed information, and they now offer an app for smartphone users!

We think the Needle Travel guide is a brilliant concept. We often get asked where our fabric is sold, so this is the perfect reference because many of the quilt shops who sell our fabrics are featured. And if you flip through the book, you may come across someone familiar…yup, us! ;) *sigh* our fabrics are looking oh-so pretty…

We really wanted to feature Needle Travel on the blog because we think it’s awesome! Compact, super convenient, and up-to-date – all the information you need on local quilt and craft shops in one place. You can check out their website and Facebook to see where you can find a copy. Have a great day, everyone! :)
