Hi everyone!

Happy Friday!! Cheers to it almost being the weekend!! It may be one of the last weekends until the snow officially arrives here (YAY for Canadian winters…), so we are going to make the most of the pretty fall leaves and greenery. Here’s to a weekend filled with laughs, love, and autumnal happiness!

It’s time to end with our weekly Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a new, up-and-coming shop called DEEKSandME. DEEKSandME launched into the Etsy world just a couple of days ago and has already released some adorable products. Even with their recent launch, their branding is absolutely stunning…complete with a beautiful logo and packaging. DEEKSandME is all about creating quality and stylish, handmade baby items that would be wonderful gifts or for you and baby! They choose fabrics that are colorful and eclectic, with a good mix of both “girl” and “boy” modern designs. So far, they have launched their baby bandanna bibs, burp cloths, and baby infinity scarves…and every single one of them is precious!

DEEKSandME loves our What a Gem by Allison Cole Collection, and we just had to share the baby products made with our fun collection. They used What a Gem for their adorable bandanna bibs, which are made with soft coral flannel on the other side for maximum softness and absorbancy. As well, their wonderful burp cloths come in a set of three, which make for the perfect baby shower gift. And, they look very sweet with our What a Gem!

Fall Quilt Market was last week and we had the best time! It was wonderful getting to meet so many of you. Thank you for the all the amazing comments on our newest collections. We also sold FQ bundles for the first time this QM, and it was a hit! As well, we introduced our newest artist Alisse Courter. This QM was truly one for the books!!

In the heart of reminiscing of Fall QM, we are sharing some pictures of our booth. We received so many lovely comments on our booth setup. We also wanted to take the time to thank all our incredible project designers for creating and sewing up projects for us. Our booth would not have been half as beautiful without all your hard work and creative talent. Thank you!!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! Happy First of Fall everyone!! Taking a walk outside yesterday, it definitely smelled and felt like Fall…and we loved it – the crisp and cool air, the smell of fireplaces burning, and the wonderful crunching of leaves!

Time for this week’s How To’s Day! We’re taking you back in time to a past featured tutorial, our Insulated Lunch Hamper, that so many of you absolutely adored. So many of you loved the idea of an insulated lunch hamper for your picnics, road trips, and outdoor school games & events. Because of the Spacetex insulation, you’ll be able to use the hamper for keeping cold drinks cool, and hot drinks…well you know, hot. There’s nothing more disappointing than drinking lukewarm hot cocoa on a frigid, Winter day.

We featured our Insulated Lunch Hamper with Mint Condition – a beautiful, soft mint & grey collection of floral, hexagonal, and dotted prints. This week, we are sharing our lunch hamper in a completely different collection, and absolutely love how it turned out as well.

It amps up our lunch hamper to new heights, making it super stylish and fresh. Even your teens will want to carry this hamper around, we guarantee it! And now you find the full, free tutorial of our Insulated Lunch Hamper in printable PDF form on our website – just click HERE to find the full instructions.

You can always send your project pictures, of one of our DIYs or using one of our collections, to info@camelotfabrics.com. You could be featured in a future Fan Friday post! We hope everyone has a great first day of Autumn! :)

23 September

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday!! We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. It was definitely nippy here, and it seems like it’s only going to get chillier. It’s definitely sweater weather now, and we’re excited for all the plaid, knits, and thick scarves to come! We love fall fashion! :)

It’s time to start off the week with our Moody Monday! Today we are showcasing a bold and playful print from our What’s Cookin by Allison Cole collection. The red floral print from What’s Cookin’ makes for a very kitschy and modern feel, and this floral pattern would be beautiful to decorate any upscale but feminine kitchen, or as a full skirt of tea dress! We love the idea of this whimsical, dark red floral print for accessories – a pretty clutch, a makeup bag, or even a festive tie would look awesome in this pattern. Such a wonderful print, part of our beautiful What’s Cookin’ collection (which you see all of here!).

New York Fashion Week has ended, but has left us with so much inspiration…pretty outfits to gawk over. It’s been so much fun getting to check out the collections for trend inspiration for the upcoming seasons. One collection that especially sparked our interest was that of Anna Sui’s Spring 2015 RTW Collection. The warm hues of charcoal, burgundy, and navy in this collection are cozy and comforting, making this collection very romantic and bursting with femininity. Of course, the reds caught our eye – and this outfit definitely is reminiscent of our What’s Cookin’ Collection – and this print in particular. You can check out the full collection from Anna Sui here! We hope you enjoyed this week’s Moody Monday; have a good day, everyone! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday!! We hope everyone’s day is as sunny and wonderful as our is today. We are definitely thankful for the warmer weather and longer days; it’s such a lovely change to still have the glimmering of sun peaking through at 8 PM. Here’s to Summer!! (officially on Sunday, in fact!)

It’s also time for another thank you, one closer and more dear to our hearts. We had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with the ever-so-talented Kristy Daum of St. Louis Folk Victorian to create some stunning pillow patterns for us! Kristy had started her love for sewing as a child, and this spark only flourished to a love for quilting! She currently resides is St. Louis, Missouri and is the founder and President of the St. Louis Modern Quilt Guild. As well, she has lectured and taught at several quilt workshops and events, and loves modern quilting! She also has her own line of patterns, all of which you can find on Etsy and Craftsy! Be sure to check them out, because her designs are awesome (…and so is she, of course)!!

Kristy created four pillow patterns for us for our Free Projects Program, two of which are now available on our website! One of her patterns is called Around The Block which is a fun pillow pattern of geometrically placed, isosceles triangles that create a super cool and modern effect. We absolutely love how it looks with our Black & Tan Collection! Another pillow pattern that Kristy created for us is called Elevation, which a stunning gradation of triangles in a chevron alignment. We love the simplicity of this pattern, and how there is so much flexibility to play around with different color ways and fabric designs. Such a seamless design!

Kristy also sewed the Elevation pillow for us with our What A Gem Collection, and it looks incredible (even more-so in person, if you can imagine!). We lovelovelove how the chevron pattern goes perfectly with the feathers and arrow designs in this line, and how the colors are in an almost ombred effect! Kristy did an absolutely fantastic job sewing this together for us, and we cannot thank her enough for doing it in a shorter timeframe. Kristy also blogged about Elevation on her blog, so be sure to check out the post here! You’ll find more information on the how-to for the construction of the pillow.

Be sure to check out the Elevation and Around The Block pillow patterns on our website, both of which are available as free patterns! Thank you SOSO much, Kristy, for being such an incredible person to partner with – all of your patterns are super clear and easy-to-follow and it has been an absolutely pleasure working with you thus far. We hope this is the beginning of a wonderful partner/friendship! Be sure to check our Kristy’s blog for lots more, as well as her Etsy Shop, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest!! Lots of fun stuff on quilting, sewing, fabric, and more to be found. Have an awesome rest of the day, everyone!
