It’s our What We Love #47 ♥ With Mother’s Day coming up this weekend, we’ve definitely been inspired by all things mommy-related. That is, pretty florals and delicious treats hehe – no one can make a chocolate chip cookie like mum can! We love our beautiful moms dearly, the superwomen of our lives…and they have truly inspired us to be independent and strong. They are our rocks. It’s time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are sharing a stunning quilt that was featured in the Summer 2015 issue of Quilts and More Magazine. Quilts and More is a wonderful, modern sewing magazine dedicated to sharing all things quilting and, well as the name suggests, lots more! From seasonal sewing project tutorials to up-to-date sewing trends, Quilts and More is a great source for getting sewing inspiration from. They also style all of their projects. so it gives you an idea of how they will look and their size. As well, they work with many of the industry’s top designers and choose fabrics that are fresh & beautiful.

Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis (one of our pattern designers!) created a Love Letters Quilt featuring our Love Letters by Jane Farnham Collection, and were so thrilled to have seen it in print!! Tammy did such a fabulous job designing the quilt, and it looks absolutely incredible as a wall hanging quilt.

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are all doing fantastic today. Interestingly, today is National Beverage Day...my favorite drink of choice on a hot, sunny day would have to be good ol’ lemonade. Yum! What is yours?

Another Wednesday, means that it’s Winsday time! Just in time for Mother’s Day this weekend, we’re hosting a Mother’s Day Giveaway on our Facebook Page. We love our mums – aka best friend, biggest supporter, teacher, shoulder to cry on, hand to hold when the tough gets tough, role model – and wanted to host a giveaway dedicated to the strongest of women.

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a great day. As well, Happy Cinco de Mayo, to those who celebrate!

On to this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring another awesome Swoon Patterns project that we had sewn in-house, with our Elixir Collection. Our Elixir Collection is packed with bold purple, navy, and mint hues in fun geometric patterns. The freshness of this collection makes for beautiful accessory and clothing pieces because they add happy pops of color to anything! We decided to use Elixir to create Swoon Pattern’s Vivian Handbag & Traveler.

The large-sized bag would make for the perfect baby bag or weekender tote. The pockets, one located on each side, make for a convenient spot for a baby or water bottle, and the double straps make it easy to carry around. We chose a fun triangle geometric pattern for the body and a more muted, broken herringbone design for the handles and outer shell – a great combination that is playful, but still neutral! We love how this Vivian bag turned out!!

You can find the pattern for the Vivian Handbag & Traveler at Swoon Patterns. It is such a versatile and stylish bag; we are so obsessed with ours!! (psst. Mother’s Day is this weekend!) Elixir will be one of the collections we’ll be featuring at Quilt Market (booth 101), so be sure to stop by to see the Vivian in person. Happy Monday!! It was BEAUTIFUL out this weekend – warm and sunny, and it seemed like the whole city was happy and out-and-about. Also, Happy Star Wars Day!! May the 4th be with you :)

Starting off the week with our Moody Monday! Today we are featuring our Marvel: Immortals Collection by the Camelot Design Studio, that we officially launched last week. We launched three new “bestseller” collections – bringing back fan favorites of our best designs! Marvel: Immortals features your classic Spider-Man and the awesome Avengers team (Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor) – back at it again for another collection that is bright, and full of awesome-ness. All of your ultimate favorites are here, including the popular comic strip designs.

Topshop Unique Spring 2015 Collection was bold and fabulous! With a 70s “rollerskating gal” inspired feel, this Topshop Collection was all about midriffs, high-waisted pants, mini skirts, cropped jackets, and turtlenecks. The color palette was bright reds and blues, mixed with contrasting burgundy and white. So fun and preppy!! This outfit reminds us of our Marvel: Immortals Collection, from the colors down to its overall “superhero” feel.
