Ending our week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a beautiful hexagon quilt by Annika, with our Gypsy Lane by Jane Farnham Collection. Annika created this quilt without a pattern – what a brave soul she is! She had a ton of fun making the hexagons and then piecing the quilt together, having the element of surprise ahead of her. But in the end, everything came out wonderfully and Annika loves her new quilt… which also happens to be her first one! We are sooo impressed. She chose our Gypsy Lane collection, alternating the different prints to create a cool honeycomb look!

What a lovely quilt, Annika! We can’t believe this is your first quilt either, and that you did it freehand. Amazing job!! And thank you for Gypsy Lane fabric love. Have an amazing weekend!

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a fantastic day. We’re hosting our Star Wars: The Force Awakens Giveaway on our Facebook Page – be sure to enter!!

Keeping up with our Star Wars theme these past two weeks with our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of the awesome projects we had created with our Star Wars: The Force Awakens collection – our Bucket Bag! Stephanie Baldwin, a fellow Montrealer, member of the Montreal MQG, and voice behind this blog, is one of our favorite people in the city to sew projects for us. She is super talented, efficient, and creative – and every project she has done for us…. we all smile with excitement and say “wow!”.

For the launch of our Star Wars: The Force Awakens collection on Force Friday, we wanted to share some projects created with the designs. We chose our Bucket Bag, one of our free projects, which is a super cool beach, gym, or weekender bag – perfect for a Star Wars fan!

Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a good one. We’re getting the last couple of hot days here, but (I know I might be one of a few) I’m ready for Fall ;) Pumpkin-flavored everything!

I know we usually post our giveaways on Wednesdays, but we had a very special collection come out on #ForceFriday – our Star Wars: The Force Awakens Collection. And with the launch, we shared a Star Wars: The Force Awakens FQB Giveaway on our Facebook Page. Yup, the winner will be one of the first people to get their hands on this collection. Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a relaxing, long weekend. Did anyone work on any fun new (or WIP) projects?

It’s time for our How To’s Day! Today we are sharing one of our free quilt patterns, our Farm Stand Quilt by Anne Sullivan of Play Crafts. Farm Stand is a very cool and clean quilt pattern, featuring “columns” of fabric separated by a solid. We chose to have our Star Wars: The Force Awakens collection made up in this quilt, and absolutely adore the linear, ombred effect created with the many, different designs. Melissa Dunworth of Sew Bitter Sweet Designs quilted the quilt for us, and are obsessed with her quilt work! Thanks, Melissa… SOO much!
