With Thursdays, comes another Thankful Thursday. Today we are sharing with you a very special lady, Robin Hill, from Pattern Revolution. Pattern Revolution is a blog dedicated to all things pattern related, from pattern designer features to pattern reviews to tutorials and more! If you ever have any wonders or questions on anything to do with patterns, Pattern Revolution is your one-stop place for all your inquiries – it is the essential hub for all PDF patterns!

We had the privilege of collaborating with Pattern Revolution for some spectacular projects for Fall Quilt Market. Robin found some beautiful patterns for us to showcase our fabric designs, and had some lovely ladies create them for us. We would like to thank Suzanne Winter, Kara Orr, and Carrie Burnett for sewing the wonderful projects that we displayed at Quilt Market – they all looked fantastic so thank you very much! We’ve got a special treat for you, because we’re sharing the projects with you all. Check out the lovely projects with our pretty fabric designs below! You can also click on each image that will link to its PDF pattern. Thank you to all the pattern designers as well for their incredible patterns!

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having an exceptional day. The mild weather here was short-lived, as we are once again enduring the harsh winds and frozen toes. Winter is still among us, and has no plans to leave any time soon.

But, looking at the calendar we cannot believe that January is almost over…February is just around the corner. It’s time to start preparing for all the Valentine’s Day festivities complete with hearts, pink and red, sugar, and pretty garlands! Any holiday is enough justification for us to find a reason to celebrate, and we’ve got a How To’s Day for you that will surely add some party glam. Throw on your most exuberant dress, a pair of bold heels, armfuls of glitzy jewelry, and add on our cropped jacket to complete the look. Take a peak at how marvelous and classy our cropped jacket looks:

For the ivory jacket, we used 4140707 #3 Tan Lattice. For the blue jacket, we used 4140706 Preppy Harlequin. Both these prints are from the Paisley Please Collection by Jackie McFee.

Last week’s How To’s Day was all about the wonderful men in our lives, but don’t worry girls – we haven’t forgotten about you! We love any reason to play dress up and look fabulous, and today’s tutorial will do just that. Today we are sharing our Cropped Jacket Tutorial for you all!

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Sending you all positive vibes today for a great start to the week!

And to kick start this week, it’s time for our Moody Monday post. Today we are inspired by our beautiful black and gold collection, Nightfall by The Camelot Design Studio! Nightfall is a black- and white-based collection, with intricate metallic gold details of dots, chevrons, houndstooth, and tassels. This collection is very reminiscent of the Great Gatsby times; it sparkles, it shines, it is just stunning!! It is the perfect collection for anyone looking a bit of extra dazzle in their wardrobe or home – this metallic gold printed fabric collection will not disappoint!

One fashion collection that emphasizes our stunning black and gold collection is that of Dries Van Noten’s Spring 2014 line. The collection includes some colour with its muted floral prints, but it is the cream, black, and gold accents that greatly stand out. The gold ruffles, embossments, and textures pop against its black and cream backgrounds making each clothing piece all the more elegant, rich, and like works of art.

What makes this collection exceptionally beautiful is the great attention to detail, even with the limited color palette, that instead chooses to focus of texture and shape which reminds us of our Nightfall fabric designs. Pops of gold are definitely in, and metallic will be on-trend for the upcoming Spring 2014 season! You can see Drie Van Noten’s exquisite collection here.

We hope you have been inspired by today’s Moody Monday! Have a great day everyone :)

Hello everyone!

Happy Friday!! The weekend is just about here, YAY! Wishing everyone a lovely last hoorah of the week – TGIF :) Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend?

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday!! Rachael started Binky Roo Designs LTD with her husband, Stephen, as a two part company (crafts and design) and has grown immensely since its launch. Binky Roo Crafts, the crafty section, is a shop dedicated to wonderful accessories, clothing, art dolls, and more “for goths, rockabillys, nerds and geeks, and everybody!” The other sector is dedicated to graphic design publishing, Green Door Designs, with a specialization in book design.

Rachael loves and uses our fabric designs, and we just had to share! One of our favourites is a superhero-worthy bag she created using our Girl Power pink characters fabric design. We absolutely adore how functional and compartmental it is, as well as being stylish and vibrant. Her Superhero/Sci-Fi Tote Bag is such an excellent bag design, the lining is flawless, and looks amazing with our fabric. As well, Rachael created a stunning wallet to match!

Rachael also recently launched her newest bag, and she used our The Design Studio Collection for it. The newest design is a wonderful kindle/tab bag that includes lots of compartments for all your other needs. We especially adore how the blue dahlia designs pop against the black background. This bag is such a stunner! Great job, Rachael :)
