Happy Tuesday! Whew – we made it past the middle of February, and you know what that means – it’s time to be thinking about spring! Ah, spring … sunshine, longer days, bees buzzing among the flowers.

 
Okay, maybe we’re being a tiny bit optimistic, but it can’t hurt to look ahead, can it? In that optimistic vein, our DIY Tutorial this week is the perfect homemade gift for any little spring or winter baby to teeth on and practice his or her coordination. Today is also Moody Monday on the blog! We are sharing with you another fantastic collection of ours, Playground by Vita Mechachonis from our Winter 2014 collections. We hope we can inspire you today!

In London, Roksanda Illincic’s Fall 2014 RTW collection was an exuberant burst of blues and oranges, very reminiscent of Playground. Not only were the colors inspirational, but each outfit and piece exuded a playful and unique style that made us swoon. We especially adored the mix of colors within the outfits: cornflower blue and taupe, navy and brown, & orange and black – SUCH a fantastic collection! Happy Friday and Happy Valentine’s Day!! We hope your day is filled with lots of love, hugs & kisses, and chocolate (the holiday just isn’t complete without some!). Have a fantastic day spending time with all you loved ones. Us ladies at the office were super spoiled with pretty roses today!! ♥

Today is also Fan Friday on the blog, and today we are sharing a girl who adores good, old classic cartoons and sewing…two qualities that make her a win for us, but just wait till you see her designs! The creator behind Always Amazing Designs used her love for classic cartoons and characters as inspiration for her sewing projects, a hobby that soon turned into a successful business.

Some of her favorite characters include Disney, Sesame Street, Marvel and DC Comics, Hello Kitty, and Archie Comics. With her fantastic choice in fabric designs featuring these cartoons, she has created awesome coin purses, tablet/iPad cases, camera cases, and small messenger bags for all the fellow character enthusiasts. Now you can keep all your electronics in safekeeping, while being nostalgic of all the characters and shows that made your childhood.

Always Amazing Designs especially loved our Archie Comics fabric collection, which is a very bright and vivacious collection with a vintage twist. Happy Thursday! We hope you are all having a lovely day so far. It’s almost been a week into the 2014 Winter Olympics and watching all the intense & exhilarating events has been super exciting!! As a Canadian-based company, we are very proud of our Canadian teams with Canada currently in 2nd place – Go Canada!! ♥

Today is also Thankful Thursday on the blog, and because tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, we thought it would be great to correlate today with the day of love. Valentine’s Day is a celebrated time to show the ones around you how much you love them, whether it be your significant other, friends, family, teachers, co-workers. This week’s Thankful Thursday, we take the time to thank all of our loved ones!

In the wise words of Aibeleen Clark, from the movie The Help, “You is kind, you is smart, you is important”. Showing how much you care through small acts of kindness or appreciation are always the best ways to share love. Whether those small acts are an unexpected gesture or comforting words, there are infinite ways to how the people in your life how much they mean to you.

Our loved ones are the people who help us to grow, inspire us, and support us in all our endeavors. If we think about all that we have accomplished, there has always been someone there lending a helping or supporting hand – we wouldn’t have been able to do it without them, or as well. All the people that we meet touch our lives in some meaningful way, and the person that we become is an accumulation of all those special experiences.

Thank you to our loved ones for loving us unconditionally and for always being our #1 support system. Thank you for all the smiles, for all the laughs, for all the warm hugs and kisses, for all the heartfelt talks, and for always simply being there…we love you!! ♥

Valentine’s Day is a time to commemorate love, but appreciating loved ones should be something we do everyday!! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! ♥
