Hi everyone!
Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a great day so far. Today is the last day to enter our Chalkboard Fabric Giveaway on the blog. Let us know what you would make with our chalkboard fabric for a chance to win. Enter here!
As well, one of our biggest projects as of late has been our Free Projects section on our website and blog! Since the launch of our Camelot Fabrics blog back in September 2013, we have been posting a new free project every week! From adorable baby shoes to DIY chalkboard banners to plush stegosauruses…we’ve crafted a multitude of amazing projects for you all, with free instructions, diagrams, and patterns. One of the greatest things has been the positive feedback and the pictures sent to us of our projects, from you all! So thank you, keep sending them to us! :)
Along with our free projects, we have been partnering with some very talented quilt designers to create one-of-a-kind quilt patterns for our website. Our fabric collections have a fresh and modern twist to them, and all the quilt designs reflect our style perfectly. All the free quilt designs include the instructions, diagrams, and necessary skus in PDF format which you can check out here. We wanted to thank all our wonderful quilt designers for creating some incredible quilt designs for us! You guys rock!! :)

Today we are featuring one of our quilt designs for this week’s How To’s Day. Larene Smith, from The Quilted Button, designed this sweet baby quilt called Diamond Sparkle. You can use any fabric of your choice, but we think this quilt looks especially darling with our Dream a Little Dream Collection by Heather Rosas. Today we thought we’d provide a step-by-step on how to create your very own Diamond Sparkle Quilt – the perfect blanket for all the little ones you know!

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a fantastic and restful weekend. It is officially the last week of February…wow, this month honestly flew by! We are very excited for March to arrive, as Spring comes along at the end…and we’re hoping for reflective weather. Here’s to a great end to February!
It’s time to kick-start this awesome week with some Moody Monday inspiration. With Spring on our minds, today we are inspiring you with our Beyond the Backyard by Jane Farnham collection. Beyond the Backyard is a vibrant and cheerful collection of brilliant purple, pink, orange, and green hues. The designs on this collection are very Spring inspired, infused with leaf and floral prints. The colours are warm and comforting, with the patterns having a retro-vibe. Such a wonderful collection for a cute, Spring dress or nature-inspired bedroom set!

Keeping with the color scheme of Beyond the Backyard, we are sharing an eclectic Fall 2013 RTW collection by Rag & Bone. A little bit more fall inspired, but bursting with great mixes in color palette, Rag & Bone‘s collection is very structured and streamlined with a masculine twist. The rugged feel from the tougher textures from the leather, tweed, and herringbone are juxtaposed with fun colors (purple, olive green, and orange)! The unique mixes of colors in each outfit remind us of our Beyond the Backyard collection. You can check out the full collection here!
We hope you have been inspired with today’s Moody Monday! Have you entered our Chalkboard Fabric Giveaway? Let us know what you would create with our chalkboard fabric for a chance to win here :)

Hi everyone!
Happy Friday!! It’s just about the weekend, and we are super excited! The weather has been rainy and gloomy here today, but we are hoping for at least a bit of sunshine this weekend. For now, we will put on our galoshes and raincoat, and happily jump through a puddle or two…we are still kids at heart! Have you entered our Chalkboard Fabric giveaway? You can enter here! :)
To end our week, we’ve got our Fan Friday for you all! Today we are sharing an amazing company with a shared love affair for Comic Con and everything vintage…Cake Shop Couture! Song Ja, shop owner and seamstress, opened her business in 2008 with inspiration from Asian street fashion and American Comic Con to create beautiful clothing and accessories by hand. Everything is a labour of love at Cake Shop Couture, as Song Ja is a one-woman entrepreneur, and designs all her products herself from start to finish.

Song Ja, a proud geek and fashionista, began attending Comic Con in 2004 and even met the love her life there…who was dressed in Storm Trooper Armor (Oh, how cute right?). From there, she has combined her passions into one incredible, unique, and successful business. All of Song’s dresses are absolutely beautiful and sparked with a vintage twist. From halter dresses to bustier-styled, Cake Shop Couture a wide variety of dress styles to suit every Star Wars or comic book enthusiast! Song adores our Star Wars and Marvel Comics fabric collections, and we just had to share some of our favorite dresses with you all!

Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday! We hope you are having a great day…the weekend is almost upon us! The weather has started to get a little warmer here (ie. above freezing!), and we are hoping that Spring is closer around the corner. We have been conjuring up lots of exciting and crafty Spring ideas to come, so stay tuned! And speaking of getting creative, have you entered our Chalkboard Fabric giveaway yet? You can win one yard of our Chalkboard Fabric by telling us what you would create with it here! :)
It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday on the blog! This year, we had the amazing opportunity to experience our very first Craft & Hobby Association Show in Anaheim, CA! It was honestly such an enlightening and wonderful time, getting to meet so many creative people and learning so much about the crafting world. We were able to showcase our newest crafting products, such as our felt lines and Ad-Fab™, and got lots of enthusiastic feedback about them. A couple of Thankful Thursdays ago, we wrote a post thanking all the wonderful people who took the time to mention us or our products at the CHA. You can check out the post here!
There is one very special person who we have to thank, who made our first CHA experience an absolutely incredible time. Paula Jones is the Canadian coordinator for the CHA, and was the one who helped us connect/get organized with the event. As well, Paula helped us get settled in LA and during the event, making the trip all the more stress-free and enjoyable! Furthermore, Paula introduced us to the international meet-and-greet at the CHA, an event that hosted around 20 sellers outside of the United States, to introduce our products. Participating in the meet-and-greet allowed us to meet many incredible people and, because of the small group, gave us a greater visibility overall.

Paula touched base with us throughout our stay, which was very sweet of her! She was the perfect hostess and made our overall first CHA experience a success! Paula even stopped by our booth and participated in our chalkboard fabric photobooth!
We are so fortunate to have met such a wonderful lady – Thank you very much Paula, for everything!! :)
