We wanted to share with you some of our essential fabrics today. We do showcase mainly (and adore!!) our cottons on our social media sites, but we do have a lot more fabrications to share!

Some of our other fabrications include: flannel, polyester fleece, plush fleece, felt (hard/soft, and adhesive), broadcloth, percale sheeting, monks cloth, burlap, corduroy, crushed panne, velveteen, satin, twill, terry cloth, oilcloth, chalkboard fabric, nylon, and more! You can check out all our fabrications in the catalog. We are slowly but surely putting them all up on the website, so they’re not all up yet, so if you are a retailer or manufacturer please contact your local sales rep!

We also have our new Fresh Solids quilting cotton that correlate with our new Spring 2014 collections. Speaking of which, stay tuned next week for a very special launch *wink, wink* Get excited, because we definitely are!!! We cannot wait to share with you all the new pretty fabrics; we are sure you will just adore them! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday!! We hope everyone is having an excellent day! We are super excited for Mother’s Day weekend: Moms (and future moms!), what would be your ideal day of relaxation? :) We would love to know!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of wonderfully kind and talented quilt designers, Larene Smith of The Quilted Button! Larene began her for sewing at a very young age – when her mum warned her not to touch her sewing machine, as a child, Larene only became even more intrigued. As she got older, she asked her mum to teach her to make a quilt and learnt to a 9 patch quilt. From there, Larene’s love for sewing, quilting, and fabric only grew!

But it was her connection with the Material Possessions Quilt Shop that really got her started. They saw the creative spark in Larene – her designs were unique and she had a lot of different techniques, and she should be teaching a class! She met with Wendy, and started off with her first teaching class. From there, Larene has continued her passion for quilting, creating so many beautiful quilt patterns, and of course teaching!

We had the privilege of partnering with Larene, who has created some really lovely quilt patterns for our Free Projects Program. All of her patterns are easy to follow and concise, and it has been an absolutely pleasure working with Larene thus far. She has been very guiding and sweet to us, as we are still learning new things everyday about the quilting and pattern world! Some of Larene’s quilt patterns include Border Blast, Diamond Sparkle, and Whimsical…and there are more to come!

Aren’t these quilt designs just stunning? We are so happy to have found Larene and are so ecstatic for what’s to come!! And yes, there may possibly be a physical quilt coming very soon ;) Stay tuned! It’s time to announce our Star Wars fabric giveaway winner today! We hosted a glow-in-the-dark Star Wars fabric giveaway in honor of May the 4th, and the response was outstanding! We adore our fellow Star Wars enthusiasts. We asked you who your favorite Star Wars character was, and you delivered! We got a great mix of characters, but Chewbacca, Yoda, and Han Solo were definite faves! Thank you to everyone who participated and for all your fantastic comments.

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a wonderful day. We are celebrating Mother’s Day all this week because we love our mums! Today we are going to share with you a wonderful gift idea for that special mom who deserves to feel pampered.

This week’s How To’s day is our elegant Trellis Edged Robe featuring our Iconic Collection. This robe is luxurious and beautiful, complete with stunning trellis detailing on the sleeves and edging, as well as a satin lining.
