Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a wonderful day!! We are happily enjoying the sunshine and warm weather today. The pretty weather is making us daydream of taking a relaxing, tropical vacation to Turks & Caicos or Hawaii! And speaking of dreaming, we have got a DIY project to share with you today that reminds us of just that. Our heads are in the clouds today…

This week’s How To’s Day is our DIY Star and Cloud Shape Pillows tutorial! All of you fellow dreamers and astronomy lovers, this project is perfect for you. Another bonus, it is super easy to make AND is an exceptionally adorable project! Our shape pillows would be a great addition to a sky-themed bedroom (think clouds and stars scattered across a blue comforter!) or as a gift for a future astronaut! We always love to encourage creativity here, so these would be perfect playtime toys for kids – let their imaginations run free – and then a comfy accompaniment for naptime (because all that playing can wear you out, after all!). We adore our shape pillows with our Take Flight by Vita Mechachonis, a brilliant and bold airplane- and sky-themed collection!!

Let’s start off this week with our Moody Monday! Today we are sharing a stunning and zesty collection by Jane Farnham for Spring 2014…Peacock Garden! This collection is bright and vibrant with its fun chartreuse, spearmint, royal blue, and pink color palette. And just as the name suggests, Peacock Garden includes pretty peacock-inspired designs with dainty peacock feathers and plumage décor. The colors and flora designs give this collection a very happy and playful feel, but at the same time very feminine and soft. We can imagine a lovely Farmer’s Market tote with Peacock Garden, as well as a fun summertime dress. This collection would be absolutely stunning as a quilt too!

For Spring, you can never go wrong with florals or pastel colors! And Jenny Packham’s Spring 2014 Collection suggests just that. Enthralled in pretty, muted shades of pinks, blues, and greens (with the fun pop of chartreuse!) this collection reminds us of our Peacock Garden by Jane Farnham collection. We absolutely adore the mix of tones, the fluttering chiffons, and the incredible beaded work that Jenny used to create a fantastic, Edwardian-inspired fashion collection. We especially love this dress, which captures the wonderful flora essence of Peacock Garden. We are finishing the end to another great week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring an adorable free project from E-beth Designs using our Penelope Collection. How perfect for our Penelope Giveaway week! We first saw this project on Instagram (thanks for tagging us!!), and we squealed with excitement from how super cute it was. Elizabeth Shepherd of E-beth Designs created a beautiful Adjustable Fabric Headband Pattern as a free project on her website, and featured our Penelope Collection with it. It’s a simple, but fun project…and is such a great accessory to “jazz up” any outfit for the Spring and Summer!

Elizabeth’s daughter is seen here wearing the Penelope headband, and we think she looks super adorable and so ready for Summer!! Elizabeth is also working on a romper tutorial that will also feature our Penelope collection, and we are SUPER excited to see the finished project! :)

E-beth Designs is a mix between an online pattern/fabric shop and blog filled with lots of fabric, sewing, and project tutorial goodies!! We absolutely adore the modernity and stylish pieces that Elizabeth creates, and are so happy she loves our Penelope Collection. Thank you so much, Elizabeth, for sharing your project with us and for the fabric-love. We’ve got our Thankful Thursday for you all!! Today we are featuring one of our incredible quilt designers, Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis! Tammy has been quilting since 1991, and has a continued love and passion for fabrics & sewing. She loves to work with all sorts of fabrics, but she admits that her favorites include batiks, bold prints, and chicken prints. Tammy is the owner of Tamarinis, a quilt pattern company dedicated to unique and fantastic quilt designs. Tammy has a wonderful mix of traditional and more modern quilt designs, all of which are aesthetically beautiful and influenced by her art & literature background. We had the awesome opportunity of collaborating with Tammy on a couple of quilt designs, and even had some sewn up for Spring Quilt Market!

One of the exclusive quilt patterns Tammy designed for us is Quilt Bars – a clean and bordered quilt design that works well with a multitude of fabric designs. We love how the design draws the eyes towards the middle, but isn’t busy because of the quilt’s simplicity. We had Quilt Bars done with our Iconic Collection for Quilt Market, and it looked absolutely incredible in our Iconic room! Soso stunning!!

The second quilt design that Tammy created for us is Play Date – a really fun, baby-sized quilt with adorable pinwheel details! We had the quilt sewn up with our Take Flight by Vita Mechachonis Collection, and it was perfect for our Take Flight boy’s room set-up at Quilt Market. We love how the blues, reds, and creams in this collection work perfectly – and the pinwheels are even reminiscent of propellers! What we were in awe by was the cloud embroidery that Tammy did on this quilt; so detail-oriented and absolutely beautiful!!

We wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Tammy of Tamarinis for creating two absolutely incredible quilt designs for us. All of Tammy’s quilt designs are clear and concise, and really wonderful to work with and understand. We heard so many positive comments on these two quilts at Quilt Market!! We are so incredibly thankful for your partnership, Tammy, and cannot wait for some future collaborations!!
