Time for this week’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our Peaks & Valleys Table Runner by Melissa Corry of Happy Quilting Designs. The Peaks & Valleys Table Runner is a simple, but elegant table runner that will add a fun pop to your dining or living room table. The “zig-zag” designs are made up of smaller triangles to resemble peaks & valleys, while the clean white space makes it an easy mixing piece with your current decor. We also had this table runner made up for our Quilt Market Mickey Mouse & Friends section. We adore how the bright, primary colors look together. Shannon Fraser did such an amazing job!

This table runner is the perfect mix between classic and modern, with the triangle starburst design. It would be a beautiful compliment to your Thanksgiving table, especially with the feminine and cool colors of our Darling collection. Cheryl, of Meadow Mist Designs, created a stunning table runner pattern for us that we absolutely love. Her Best Wishes Table Runner is featured with our Paisley Please collection, the complimentary navy and orange hues working magically together. We love the simplicity and modern feel of this table runner, the perfect accessory to any bare table. Add some pretty white dishware, silver decor, and white tulips…and you have yourself a beautiful, cottage-inspired table setting.

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday!! Today we are featuring one of our lovely project designers, Melissa Stramel of Lilac Lane Patterns! Melissa Stramel is a lover of all things floral! Whether it is tending to her garden, flower arrangement, or creating with floral fabrics, Melissa is always up for the challenge. While staying at home and sewing for her children, Melissa decided to combine her love for fabric & creating patterns by starting a business called Lilac Lane Patterns. After its success, Lilac Lane grew into a store in her hometown of Colby, Kansas called Creations Gallery. A pharmacist by training, Melissa has found the industry that encapsulates her skills and her loves perfectly! Melissa creates and sells her patterns under Lilac Lane, has a blog, and also has published a book! A very busy gal, indeed!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Melissa of Lilac Lane Patterns for a couple of projects for our Free Projects Program. Melissa has such a creative mind, and created some really unique patterns for us. The first project is her Butterfly Quilt, which has a very cool, scrappy look with adorable little “butterflies” in the quilt design. We absolutely adore it with our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection. As well, her genius “The Sky is Falling” Table Runner with our Fruit Stand by Jane Farnham Collection is so modern and fun!

Happy Tuesday! It’s the second day of the week, but the first day back for us Canadians. It was an absolutely fantastic long weekend, with the weather being absolutely gorgeous – the perfect amount of coolness and sunshine = my kind of weather! As well, Quilt Market was this weekend and it was such a great market!! We hope you enjoyed all the pictures we posted on our Instagram; lots more to come soon! We’ve got an absolutely brilliant How To’s Day for you. Today we are sharing our tutorial for our Lattice Table Runner – a gorgeous quilted table runner that will instantly add some sparkle to your dinning or coffee table! We absolutely LOVE switching up and playing around with room décor, because they are a fun way to change up a look quickly, and at a lower cost. We really love sharing our home décor projects with you because, not only are they great for sprucing up a room, but they are so much fun to make. Triple win!
