Hi everyone!

Happy Friday!! Great way to the end the week with a pretty day – a lovely change from the wind and rain we’ve been getting lately. There are also two more days until #StarWarsDay and in honor of May the 4th, we are hosting a Glow-in-the-Dark Star Wars fabric giveaway on our Facebook Page – Click here to enter!

To round up another wonderful week, we have our Fan Friday for you all today! Marion Omont used our Fleece Fox Hat & Tail Tutorial to create an absolutely adorable fleece fox hat and tail for her son. Marion’s son had a school carnival to attend and the kids were able to dress up! She remembered seeing our fox hat & tail tutorial on our Pinterest – a project she had wanted to make for a while but never got the chance to. She showed the costume idea to her son, who eagerly approved, and in a couple of hours his fox costume was created! Finishing the look with a cute nose and some whiskers, Marion’s son is one of the most precious foxes we have ever seen!

Marion – you did an absolutely incredible job with the fox hat and tail! Your little gray fox is so cute and we hope he enjoyed his school’s carnival all decked out. Thank you so much for sharing your project with us and for letting us know you enjoyed our tutorial! We are so happy that it came out wonderfully. You can check out the full tutorial here, as well as a free printable on our website.

If you decide to use one of our tutorials or use our fabric for a project, you could be featured in a future Fan Friday post! Please email us at info@camelotfabrics.com – Seeing all of your projects always makes our day!! :) Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! We hope that everyone is having a wonderful end of the week. Even though it doesn’t look like Spring quite yet, we are in a springtime mood heading into the weekend. The Glitter Guide’s To-Do Spring List especially inspires us. Also, we have our Beyond the Backyard FQB Giveaway currently running so head on over to our Facebook Page to enter! :)

Also, it’s time to end this week with our Fan Friday! In the midst of the things we love about Spring, we adore all the little critters that start to come back from hibernation. There’s nothing more peaceful than a lovely park stroll, hearing the birds chirping and the rustlings of tiny animals. And while foxes are not exactly common to see in our area, unfortunately, they still remind us of warmer days. Plus, they are just super cute right?! :)

One of our past tutorials was for a Fox Hat and Tail – just in time for Halloween last year. We received so many positive comments on that project, especially on Pinterest, and are so pleased that so many people enjoyed it. Plus it didn’t hurt having two of the sweetest models helping us out! Kory Hagler was the costume mistress for a children’s play at a middle school in Bismarck ND called “Terrible Stunk Breath” and used our fox hat tutorial to create 2 fox costumes for it!

Kory used white and orange fleece, and buttons for the fox eyes & nose! Here’s some wonderful feedback from Kory on our pattern, “Whoever made the fox pattern and instructions did an awesome job.  Pieces fit perfectly and it’s great to work with fleece and not worry about edges unraveling”. Below is a picture of Kory’s 3 year old niece rocking her fox hat – she seriously is just the CUUUTEST!! :)

Kory even used our Fox Hat Tutorial to create the skunk costumes – so creative and equally adorable!! We love how this tutorial can be interchanged for any other little creature, as Kory swapped for black fleece and some white faux fur for the skunk hat.

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It was Spring Forward yesterday, so although we will get the benefit of having more sunshine throughout the day…getting up to having lost an hour on Sunday was definitely not fun. Alas, this only means that Spring is coming soon! :)

Let’s start off this week with our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with our Fox Friends by Allison Cole collection, from Winter 2014. Fox Friends is another one of our kid-friendly, novelty collections that we just absolutely adore!! The main hues in Fox Friends are pink, mint, red, and brown creating a very sweet and ethereal feel to the collection. The adorable foxes, friendly clouds, and gentle birds make this a very happy and quirky collection, perfect for all the tiny adventurers you know! Fox Friends would make the prettiest dresses and skirts, or a woodsy themed bedroom! Imagine some lovely curtains, pillows, or girly quilt with our Fox Friends collection…oh how cute right?!! You can check out the full collection here!

One fashion collection that is inspiring us this week is Calvin Klein’s  Spring 2014 RTW collection. The colors in his latest collection are soft and subtle, but with tiny splashes of color that make a statement. The main color palette of this collection is green hues, pinks, creams, and browns. The mixture of these soft colors are very springtime and vacation appropriate, with a very relaxed and beach-y feel.

We especially love this outfit, as well as this one and this one as they especially encapsulate the mood of Fox Friends. The feel of this collection and choices in hues reminds us of our Fox Friends by Allison Cole color palette. You can check out the full collection here.

Thank you so much for reading today’s Moody Monday post! We hope we have inspired you :) Have a fantastic day!
