Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a lovely day. Today is National Vanilla Ice Cream Day… we’ll gladly have ice cream of ANY flavor, any day. If we could, of course haha ;)

Time for our Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring a fantastic quilting read, the McCall’s Quick Quilts magazine. McCall’s Quick Quilts is the McCall’s magazine dedicated to the beginner quilter, those who have just found an interest in quilting and aren’t quite sure where to begin or those who are looking for some easier-leveled quilt patterns. As the name suggests, this magazine is all about modern quilting, and focuses on patterns. Each issue includes a good number of quilt patterns to choose from, so you may have some future WIPs coming up ;) “Make fresh, fun, fabulous quilts” is this issue’s motto, and we couldn’t have summed it up better ourselves.

In the latest issue of McCall’s Quick Quilts, Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis (also one of our amazing pattern designers!), designed a quilt pattern for them called Morning Stroll. Morning Stroll focuses on a lesson on quick and easy curves, using templates to create pieced wedges. The quilt pattern features our Folklore Collection by Heather Rosas, with the pretty red and blue feminine prints creating such a stunning bed quilt.

Thank you Tammy for choosing our Folklore collection, and for McCall’s Quick Quilts for featuring the wonderful quilt pattern. You can find the Morning Stroll pattern in their latest issue, so be sure to check it out!! Have a fantastic rest of the day!

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful week. SO ready for the weekend! Who’s with me? We’re also giving away a Sea Life FQB on our Facebook Page this week, so be sure to enter!

It’s time to end this week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a super sweet baby quilt by Calamari Quilts, featuring our Folklore by Heather Rosas Collection. Calamari Quilts is an Etsy Shop dedicated to beautiful, handmade quilts. Mother-daughter, sewing duo Mary and Michelle are the creatives behind Calamari Quilts, both with a love for quilting, sewing, and creating high quality items. Inspired by the scenic views around her home and studio, Michelle creates quilts based on the beauty she sees everyday. When her daughter was born, she was given thirteen handmade blankets, and wants to pass along the special-ness she felt to other new mommies.

Calamari Quilts created an adorable baby girl’s quilt called “Wren’s Pals” with our Folklore Collection. We absolutely adore the brightness of the red, contrasted with the different grays in the striped quilt. Folklore is a very feminine and pretty collection of birdies and flowers, so it was the perfect choice for this little girl’s quilt. It would brighten up any nursery, and the extra touch on the binding is fabulous! Such a stunning quilt!

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. It’s National High Five Day, so here’s a high five from us haha! *virtual high five*

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday on the blog. Today we are featuring one of our favorite ribbon enthusiasts, May Arts Ribbon! May Arts Ribbon started out in the early 80s in Riverside, Connecticut, and is a family-owned and operated company. They started out by producing high-quality silk flowers that were decorated with pretty ribbons. The ribbons became such a big hit, that May Arts eventually became a dedicated ribbon wholesaler. They have now expanded their selection of beautiful ribbons, from lace to 100% silk to other fun trims & embellishments. We especially adore their pom-poms and scalloped trim! From their solid, bright colors to their funky patterns, we are such fans of May Arts’ ribbon selection – they’re great to pair with our fabric projects (…we’ll be sharing some with you soon!).

We decided to do a fun, crafty swap with May Arts Ribbon! They recently posted a lovely Vintage Style Apron tutorial, featuring their ribbon and our Folklore Collection – and we adore it! Charlene Driggs created this easy apron tutorial for the May Arts Ribbon blog, a project that any leveled sewer could master and have fun with. The hardest part comes from choosing a favorite fabric and ribbon, and from there – a bit of sewing and you’re done! In the end, you’ll have a super cute apron – with an adorable bow detail – for your next cooking or baking adventure. Love this one! You can find the full, free tutorial on their blog.

How pretty, right? :) You can find all of your ribbon and trim needs at May Arts Ribbon. As well, be sure to find more fun projects on their blog, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Thanks so much, May Arts Ribbon, for the awesome tutorial and for sharing. We can’t wait to share what we’ve got planned with our new ribbon! Have an awesome day, everyone. I know I will…psst. it’s my birthday ;) hehe

Hi everyone,

Happy Monday!! We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. We had a lovely weekend picking apples and pumpkins, which calls for lots more fall baking! Yum, yum! As well, we are still hosting our Imaginarium FQB Giveaway on our Facebook Page. The giveaway runs until this Wednesday, so be sure to enter if you haven’t. Looking forward to reading all of your responses!

It’s time for this week’s Moody Monday! Today we are featuring our Folklore by Heather Rosas Collection. This absolutely gorgeous collection reminds us all the things we love about about the springtime – fluttery birds, fresh tulip and rose blooms, and crisp leaves. The cream, turquoise, and ruby colorway of Folklore makes this collection lively and feminine, with a whimsical and Scandinavian feel. These beautiful designs would add a pop of fresh color to any interior – from bedroom to kitchen – and would also make some adorable garments (think: little tunics and aprons).

We have been excitedly following all the new collections for Spring 2015. We love seeing the upcoming trends and ideas to inspire us. One collection we have especially adored was that of Paul & Joe’s Spring 2015 RTW collection – all the garments were bold, impact-ful, and  warm in tones & patterns. We loved the bohemian feel of the whole collection…something we adore for the Spring and Summer. This ensemble especially caught our eyes, a pattern resembling that of our Folklore Collection. LOVE! You can see the full collection for Paul & Joe’s 2015 RTW here.

We hope we have inspired you today with our Moody Monday! We’d love to know if there has been any Spring collections that have caught your eye. Have a great day, everyone!

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday!! We hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Happy Memorial Day to all our American friends! Have you seen our latest How To’s Day? We posted a tutorial for a stunning Lattice Table Runner that would be the perfect centerpiece for all the upcoming Summer parties. Find the free tutorial here!

It’s time to start another great week with our Moody Monday! Today we are inspiring you with one of our Spring 2014 Collections…Folklore by Heather Rosas for Camelot Fabrics. Folklore is an exquisite collection of ruby, turquoise, and cream hues to create a very happy and modern look. The designs in this collection include sweet birds, fluttery leaves, and a multitude of spring florals – daisies, roses, and tulips!

There is a Scandinavian feel of the designs in Folkore, but the brighter colors make it very fresh and on-trend. We can imagine a perfect Farmer’s Tote, a precious apron for the baking enthusiast, or a playful dress with the turquoise & red hues of Folklore!

Moody Monday | Folklore by Heather Rosas for Camelot Fabrics | Antonio Berardi Spring 2014 RTE

One collection that has a similar essence to Folkore is Antonio Berardi’s Spring 2014 collection. The soft hues of creams, nudes, and pinks make this collection very pretty and fluttery, especially with the sheer and delicate fabrics. We especially adore the floral detailing, with the subdued metallic accents. This collection is very feminine and dainty, and we love the juxtaposition of the bohemian-inspired hairstyle and bold red lips. This collection reminds us of our Folklore by Heather Rosas Collection with its beautiful floral details, muted creams and pinks, and boho-vibe. You can check out the full collection HERE! We hope you have enjoyed this week’s Moody Monday!
