Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I hope you all are having a fantastic afternoon!! It’s Father’s Day this weekend, so here’s to all the incredibly strong and supportive dads – we appreciate you so much!

Time for this week’s Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a super pretty quilt done by Nicole of byLerina. Nicole started her shop in December 2013, when she truly discovered for love for sewing and its craft. She created byLerina, on Facebook and now as an independent website that is coming soon. She sews and features adorable children’s clothing, for little girls and boys, as well as fun accessories and quilts. Nicole designed a precious, little girl’s quilt as a baptism gift – for a girl named Emma. We are so obsessed!

She chose our Fairyville by Heather Rosas as the main fabric collection. It was the perfect girly and playful color palette for this quilt, and we adore how she wrote “Emma” and her birthday on it. Such a touching quilt and gift!

So down for one, or some, haha. We are also hosting our Elixir FQ Bundle Giveaway on our Facebook Page, so you can enter here.

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a darling quilt we found on Instagram by Jessica Ewing of Always a Crafty Lady. Jessica started her blog, Always a Crafty Lady, at the start of 2015 – a goal to share her handmade projects & inspirations, after seeing the tag “A Year of Making” going around on Instagram. From quilts to clothing for her adorable girls, Jessica shares her passion for handmade items on her blog and gives her experience/tips with each project.

Jessica chose our Fairyville Collection for her super sweet Fairies Quilt that she made as a nap blanket for her daughter. She used a quilt pattern she found on Cluck Cluck Sew. It was also her first time machine quilting, first time binding a quilt, and first time sewing with minky. And the best part? Her daughter adores it!! She also made a second quilt using another of our Heather Rosas’ collections, Folklore.

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday…and Happy Halloween!! We hope everyone is having a ghoul-d day ;) We’ve got the Halloween spirit in the office today. Who says we can’t dress up and work? So much fun! We’re also hosting our Beyond the Backyard FQB x Westcott Giveaway on our Facebook, so be sure to enter if you haven’t yet.

It’s also time to end another fun-filled week with our Fan Friday!! Today we are featuring an adorable project using one of our collections from the awesome blog, Say Chez. Jen Chesnick is the blogger behind Say Chez, the name sparked from her nickname “Chez” and thus became her trademark. Jen started her blog because of her love for sewing and pretty fabrics, and found blogging as an outlet to share her projects & DIYs. Apart from her love for sewing, Jen is also a scrapbooking and photography enthusiast. Jen features the projects she makes (including adorable clothing for her daughter!) and scrapbook designs on her blog.

Jen decided to create an adorable Tilly Top from Brownie Goose Patterns, and modified it slightly for her daughter. A recent discovery of how easy sleeves are to sew, Jen had so much fun with this tunic top pattern. She modified it slightly by closing the back, extending the bodice, and adding sleeves. Such a sweet touch, and the ruffles? That gets a “yes!” from us!

Jen used our Fairyville by Heather Rosas Collection to make her adorable tunic top, and we think it is just the sweetest thing ever. The girly fairy-filled prints are perfect for a little nugget who loves to be a girly-girl and play outdoors too. Her daughter is seriously the most adorable girl ever. She looks so cute in her Fairyville top. And we hope she loves her top as much as we do!!

Thank you so much for the fabric love, Jen! We are so happy you love our Fairyville Collection, and thank you for sharing it with us! Her daughter rocking her tunic is seriously the cutest thing ever. You can find more from Jen at her blog, Say Chez, as well as on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram. Have a Happy Halloweeeeen everyone!! :)

31 October

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? The weather here was pretty mild, but the snow started to come down last night and it is officially a blizzard out there. We definitely have had our share of a winter wonderland here now. Very cold, very windy, and very white! :) Oh – have you entered our Iconic Giveaway yet? Let us know what you think is the most iconic, hopeless romantic moment to enter!

To start off this week, we’ve got our Moody Monday for you all. Today we are sharing with your our Fairyville by Heather Rosas moodboard. We could use a little sprinkle of magic dust from the weather fairy!

Our Fairyville collection is absolutely adorable – a super sweet, frilly, and girly fabric collection full of magic and imagination. This collection features little fairies living in their tree and apple houses, amongst their animal friends. Oh, how darling right?

The colors are pastel and soft – a mix of delightful greens, pinks, and yellows – making the collection very pretty and airy. It would be the perfect collection for a girl-themed, whimsical room or for the loveliest dress for your fairy-in-training! Check out the full collection here. As well, check out our new Fat Quarter Bundles on our website, which includes our Fairyville collection! :)

One trend that will be especially big this coming Spring 2014 is anything whimsical, whether it be bold floral prints or fluttery tulle skirts, that we drew from inspiration for this week’s Moody Monday. A collection that we were gravitated towards was Mary Katrantzou’s Spring 2014 Collection. There was a beautiful mix of earthy & extravagant patterns and silhouettes from this collection, but we especially adored the splashes of floral color, ruffles, and contemporary silhouettes.

Each of the dresses gave a very ethereal and pretty feel, while still being modern in its fit and style. If a fairy were living here in modern times, these dresses would definitely be what she would wear. Yes, we believe!! You can check out all the fantastical dresses here. Thank you so much for reading today’s post, and we hope you have been inspired :)
