Hi everyone,

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a lovely one. Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day which fits in perfectly because…

It’s our Winsday! This week we hosted our Botanical FQ Bundle Giveaway on our Facebook Page. We wanted to know which of our Winter 2016 collections was your favorite. We love doing these mini surveys, so see what you all love and would want to see more of. We always have trouble choosing our favorites, as each collection is equally special to us, so it’s great to hear feedback from our fellow fabric enthusiasts. And now, of course, the winner! The winner of our Botantical bundle is…

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are all having a fantastic day!

On to one of our (and hopefully yours too!) days of the week… our Winsday! Today we are giving away a bundle of our Botanical by Alisse Courter collection. Botanical is a rich and luxe collection of ornate floral prints, in a brilliant green and navy colorway. It reminds us of the springtime… ahh, glorious spring. A season that we’ve almost seemed to have forgotten, amidst the blankets of snow we are all too familiar with now (haha). But for now, we have our Botanical collection to remind us of warmer days….

So, how to enter? Head on over to our Facebook Page, LIKE the Giveaway Image, and let us know which of our Winter 2016 collections is your favorite (Lavishmint, Mama & Me, Equestrian, The Jungle Book, Scooby-Doo, Cars, Yogi Bear, Batman V Superman). See below for full rules!

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday!! Hope you all are having a lovely day. Have you entered our Green with Envy FQB Giveaway yet? Be sure to head on over to our Facebook Page!

It’s time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring  one of our favorite quilters, who sewed a quilt for us for Quilt Market. I know, Fall Quilt Market is already coming up oh-so quickly that the Spring one seems so far away… but we really wanted to share this beautiful quilt with all of you! As well as the quilter behind it, because we adore her! Vicki of Orchid Owl Quilts has quilted a few quilts for us (some of them are hush hush for now! ;)), and every time we receive a quilt we are amazed at the intricate work she does. She quilted our Butterfly Quilt (one of the free patterns on our website), with our Botanical Collection, and this one especially “wowed” us (it’s also a big one!). We loved how it acted as a showstopper backdrop for our Botanical section!

And here’s a Herringbone Quilt she did for us, with our Mixology and Scented fabrics:
(obsessed with the quilt work!)

Thank you so much, Vicki, for always doing such incredible work for us! She has also helped us in checking some of our patterns, and is always so great to work with. We appreciate you so much, Vicki! To check out more from Vicki, be sure to visit her website and Instagram! She’s always posting something new and wonderful. You can also find the free printout for the Butterfly quilt here. Have a great day!

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I hope you all are having a fantastic day. Have you entered our The Kitten’s Meow Giveaway yet? You’re going to love this one! We’re paw-sitive ;)

Ending another wonderful week with our Fan Friday. We LOVE when you tag us on Instagram, whether it be your adoration for one of our fabric collections or sharing a beautiful new project. Thank you to everyone who has, it seriously makes our day! Want to join in on the fun? We’re @camelot_fabrics…and you can also use the hashtag #camelotfabrics. An – lovely mother of 3, fabric addict, and lilac hair rocker – enjoys sewing adorable dresses and skirts for her girls. But of course, she also sews for herself!

She sewed the Lilou Dress, from Tilly and the Buttons’ “Love at First Stitch” book. The dress features a fitted bodice, thicker straps, and a full skirt – the perfect vintage/50s-inspired outfit. An chose to use our Botanical by Alisse Courter Collection, and we adore how the navy and mustard leaf-printed design looks as a full dress. The muted colours allow for a playful, yet classy look. An paired her dress with a mustard cardigan, and she is looking super stylish!

03 July

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having an amazing day!!

For today’s How To’s Day, we are featuring one of our exclusive quilt patterns from our Free Projects Program. The Butterfly Quilt was created by the incredibly talented Melissa Stramel, of Lilac Lane Patterns. Melissa has now expanded her patterns to clothing and accessories, for women and little girls…and their dollies! But, we are obsessed with her Butterfly Quilt, which gives a unique flair to a quilt pattern. The little triangles throughout the pattern look like butterflies, which may seem complicated, but in the end – a super neat effect.

We love a contrast between the butterflies and the background, so that the butterflies really pop! Imagine a white quilt with solid colored butterflies?! That would be so so coooool. We decided to feature the Butterfly Quilt at our booth for Spring Quilt Market, in our popular Botanical room. The quilt displayed as a backdrop to the room (and because of its size, was a real showstopper!). It really made everything come together.

Vicki Reubel of Orchid Owl Quilts did such an incredible job quilting the Butterfly Quilt. We received so many compliments on the design and quilt work – so thank you to both Melissa and Vicki! You both rock!! Now… want to make your own Butterfly Quilt? Click MORE to see the full instructions.
