Hi everyone,

Happy Fri-YAY!! We hope you all are having a great day. We are definitely looking forward to the weekend. Woot woot! We’re also giving away a Coraline FQ bundle this week, so be sure to head on over to our Facebook Page to enter.

It’s time to our week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring some stunning dresses made by Lucy Made, with our Beyond the Backyard by Jane Farnham Collection. Lucy Made is a blog by a creative gal named Lucy, who shares her love affair for fabric, wool, and sewing on her blog. She is inspired by color and pattern, creating with a sewing machine named Daphne – how fantastic!

Lucy Made made a couple of Geranium dresses (by madebyrae) for her friend’s little girls, using our Beyond the Backyard by Jane Farnham Collection, and they are just the sweetest. Big sister got a tunic-style dress with cap-sleeves and pockets, featuring a more bold, floral print from Beyond the Backyard. A sleeveless option, with a fuller skirt and a pink design, was chosen for the little sister. Both are just as adorable, and we hope the girls enjoyed their new outfits as much as we do! Lucy did such an amazing job making these dresses…we wish there were adult sizes in these hehe.

We also had a Geranium Dress made up in-house, with our Pastel Me More Collection, so we thought we’d also share it here. This dress truly is so versatile, and looks uber cute in both bold and soft prints.

Thank you so much, Lucy, for the fabric love!! We found your adorable dresses on Jane Farnham’s blog and just had to share. Too much cuteness!! (ps: congrats on the bundle on the way!) You can find more from Lucy on her blog, twitter, and flickr. Have an amazing weekend, everyone!

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! Woot woot for it being the end of the week! We’ve made it through our first week of February…it can only get better (weather wise!) from here. Cold fingers and toes crossed!

Time to end our week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring some awesome Beyond the Backyard projects made by Reece Montgomery. We were tagged on Instagram by Reece, and when we saw her pictures, we had a “oh-my-good-so-cute” moment lol. We absolutely adore the projects that Reece decided to create with our floral and leaf, Spring-inspired collection. She also featured these projects on her blog, Happy Okapi, which you can check out here. In addition to sharing her projects on her blog, she is Canadian-based (like us!!) and shares upcoming fabric collections & sales!

She used Swoon Sewing Patterns’ Dorothy Day Tripper pattern to create a stunning Beyond the Backyard bag – the pattern that actually features our Design Studio Collection as its front image! She also made some other cool accessories with Beyond the Backyard – a coffee cozie, a couple of key fobs, and an eyeglasses pouch. We love how versatile our collection is, and that it looks so great in each project!!

06 February

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you all are having a lovely day so far. Today is Celebration of Life Day so we’re taking some time to write down some of our 2015 goals. We’re going to make this year the best one yet!

Time for our weekly Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our awesome pattern designers, Elizabeth Shepherd of E-Beth Designs. Elizabeth is a of lover all sewing and fabric, just like us, who decided to create an online fabric shop when she became a stay-at-home mommy. Having two degrees in pattern and apparel design, there is no doubt that Elizabeth adores creating projects and patterns, so it came natural for her to add “pattern shop” to her list. “E-Beth Designs” was born; the name influenced by her grandpa’s nickname for her. Her patterns are fun, with a modern flair, for both adults and kids! Lots of colorful and eye-catching patterns to be found at E-Beth Designs!

We found Elizabeth on Instagram, when she had shared a project with us featuring one of our collections. After perusing her website, we knew we had to work with this talented designer. We collaborated with her to create an adorable Little One’s Apron pattern. The apron features pretty ruffles at the bottom and POCKETS!! Yes, we get excited about anything even more when they have pockets haha. We chose to feature it in our Beyond the Backyard by Jane Farnham Collection. It’s just the perfect apron for your little helper in the kitchen!

You can find the full tutorial for our Little One’s Apron on our website. Thank you so much Elizabeth for the wonderful pattern for our Free Projects Program. We had so much fun collaborating with you, and cannot wait for what’s to come. You can find more from Elizabeth on her website, Etsy Shop, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram, . Have an amazing day, everyone!
