Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I hope you all are having a wonderful day!!

Ending our week with our Fan Friday! Today we are featuring a couple of gorgeous aprons with our Scented collection. Charmed by Aprons is an online shop of feminine, 50s-inspired aprons in elegant and playful fabric prints & combinations. It all started when Liivika, owner of Charmed by Aprons, was searching for feminine aprons to no luck. She decided to create her own patterns, getting inspiration from vintage styles. Her friends loved her aprons so much, that it sparked the idea for a new business idea. Her shop has now expanded to several designs and limited collections, and is ever-growing. Her wish? “…that every woman feels comfortable and feminine in our aprons!”

One of her latest fabric choices caught our eye… or rather our nose! She chose a couple of prints from our Scented collection, perfectly mixing and matching different prints (and scents!) to create her stunning aprons. One of our favorites is the Peachy Peach apron, featuring our “peachy peach” design. Love the complimentary coral color with it. She also combined two of our scented prints – Watermelon and Pink Sugar. Pink and red is always a classic combination, but we also have no qualms about an ever sweeter watermelon scent.

27 November

Hi everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you all are having a lovely day so far. Today is Celebration of Life Day so we’re taking some time to write down some of our 2015 goals. We’re going to make this year the best one yet!

Time for our weekly Thankful Thursday! Today we are featuring one of our awesome pattern designers, Elizabeth Shepherd of E-Beth Designs. Elizabeth is a of lover all sewing and fabric, just like us, who decided to create an online fabric shop when she became a stay-at-home mommy. Having two degrees in pattern and apparel design, there is no doubt that Elizabeth adores creating projects and patterns, so it came natural for her to add “pattern shop” to her list. “E-Beth Designs” was born; the name influenced by her grandpa’s nickname for her. Her patterns are fun, with a modern flair, for both adults and kids! Lots of colorful and eye-catching patterns to be found at E-Beth Designs!

We found Elizabeth on Instagram, when she had shared a project with us featuring one of our collections. After perusing her website, we knew we had to work with this talented designer. We collaborated with her to create an adorable Little One’s Apron pattern. The apron features pretty ruffles at the bottom and POCKETS!! Yes, we get excited about anything even more when they have pockets haha. We chose to feature it in our Beyond the Backyard by Jane Farnham Collection. It’s just the perfect apron for your little helper in the kitchen!

You can find the full tutorial for our Little One’s Apron on our website. Thank you so much Elizabeth for the wonderful pattern for our Free Projects Program. We had so much fun collaborating with you, and cannot wait for what’s to come. You can find more from Elizabeth on her website, Etsy Shop, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram, . Have an amazing day, everyone!

22 January

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday!! And Happy August!! So happy that it’s just about the weekend – we are wishing for a sunny and warm weekend! If you are looking for a fun and adorable project to work on this weekend, how about some super sweet elephants? We posted our Endearing Elephants Tutorial on the blog this week, and can’t resist their cuteness!! :)

To celebrate another fantastic week, we have got this week’s Fan Friday for you all. Today we are featuring a wonderful online shop, Creative Chics, who has a love for all things bright, chic, and pretty! Creative Chics is dedicated to bringing the world flirty and beautiful apron designs; floral designs, ruffles, and bows…not essentials for an apron design, but highly recommended! ;) Creative Chics is run by a wonderfully beautiful team – started by a mother-daughter duo, Debbie Pearson and Freda Meyer, and after great success, Debbie Mitchell, Yuriko Kettler, and Carol Shea joined in as designers. We love the passion and creativity between this amazing team, which is clearly showcased in all their beautiful apron designs.

Vintage-inspired with a modern twist, their apron designs are made for the women who still want to be fabulous and fashionable when cooking or cleaning. Why not look chic when you’re doing housework? :) All of their aprons are stunning, but there is one in particular that stands out. Our Gray Matters by Jackie McFee Collection was selected for one of the apron designs, the Flirty Chic Apron, and we are in love!

The beautiful selections of designs from Gray Matters are perfect, showcasing the gray and yellow colors with a ruched halter, bow waist, and ruffled skirt. Such a stunning and feminine apron!! We could definitely imagine housework to be a lot less drab wearing this apron.

We would love to know which is your favorite. As well, we are hosting our Facebook Licensed Fabrics Giveaway this week; be sure to enter to win 5 yards of some of our favorite licensed fabrics :)

It’s time for this week’s Fan Friday!! Today we are featuring a really awesome and cool Etsy Shop, The Apron Addict, that sells stunning aprons…and other little gems. Susan Dewolf, owner and designer for The Apron Addict, had been a teacher for over 30 years but has always had a love for fabric & sewing. She decided to follow her passion and do something that she loved – she started The Apron Addict, and it has only expanded in popularity since its open in 2007. Susan creates several different apron designs, all of which are very beautiful and functional. She also makes aprons for kids – so cute!! Susan chooses fabrics that are modern and bright, which makes all of her aprons stylish and fun to wear. These aprons are great for baking or cooking, or for holding all your crafting tools. We absolutely love the bow detailing, so feminine and girly!!

Susan chose our Petite Plume by Andrea Turk for Cinnamon Joe Studio Collection and we love the orange & yellow pops – it makes for such a beautiful and elegant apron. No longer are the days for drab and boring aprons; The Apron Addict has the perfect apron for you…and once you get one, you might just get addicted and want one in every design and color ;)

Hi everyone!!

Happy Friday! YAY for it being almost the weekend!! :) Have you entered our Itty Bitty FQB x Aurifil Giveaway? We have been rocking out to our Summer Playlist in the office, and have been looking for some new songs to play…which inspired this week’s giveaway theme. Be sure to enter HERE! :)

Time to finish off a great week with our Fan Friday! We saw this absolutely precious on Instagram, and we just had to share! Jenn Trumbo shared her stunning apron with our Penelope Collection and we are in love with it. At the Camelot Design Studio, we are definitely suckers for anything with pockets. And these pockets = perfection! Jenn used our main floral print from Penelope for the body, and our beautiful Pink Baubles print for the contrasting trims…a beautiful combination! :)

Jenn is a part-time seamstress, and full-time mommy to a 3 year old boy. She has always had a love for sewing and quilting, and has found a career that she loves & finds a great passion for. Her favorite part about sewing? Fabric shopping, of course! She gets inspired by her pretty fabric finds for project ideas, and always has at least three different projects in the works at a time. She sews ceiling grid designs for Noah’s Events Venue and apron samples for Jan Lutz from The Apron Lady Designs. However, it’s important for her to separate her “work” sewing and her “fun” sewing. In her free time, she really loves making things for her friends and family…another “excuse” for more fabric shopping. We agree with your smart thinking, Jenn! :)

Jenn saw our Penelope Collection at a quilt show and was immediately drawn to its happy colors and designs! Pink and blue is her favorite color combination, and she was inspired to create a work apron with it. The bright colors from her apron now add an instant boost to her workday when she wears it. And how can it not? It’s such a fun and sweet apron!! Thank you so much Jenn for the fabric love, and for sharing your Penelope apron with us. You can check our Jenn’s work at Noah’s Events Venue and The Apron Lady Designs. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone! :)
