Time for this week’s Thankful Thursday! Today we are taking the time to thank one of our wonderful project designers, Jen of Tie Dye Diva! Jen didn’t start off her career path in the sewing patterns world, but has always had a love for crafting and sewing. Jen was working a 12-hour desk job before realizing she wanted to do something of her true passion. In 2007, she started to create downloadable sewing patterns that were easy-to-follow and fun…and she was able to turn her passion into a business!

Jen is now a designer of sewing patterns, focusing on classing clothing designs for babies and kids. There is also a good mix in difficulty level, from patterns for a beginner sewer to an advanced seamstress. Jen has a wonderful library of sewing patterns, from adorable little girl dresses, to little boy pants, to cute plushies, and more. Her patterns have also been featured in several publications, such as Sewn Hats by Carla Hegeman Crim and Stash Books’ Hat Shop: 25 Projects to Sew, from Practical to Fascinating (Design Collective) , compiled by Susanne Woods, and is a workshop instructor at Craftsy.

Jen’s sewing patterns can be found on her Etsy Shop, as well as on her website.We got into contact with Jen after Spring Quilt Market, and had the absolute pleasure of partnering with her on a sewing pattern project. I LOVE ruffles and bows, so Jen created the most *adorable* Tunic Dress and Bloomers Play Set…featuring, yes you guessed it, ruffles AND bows. LOVE!! They are the absolute cutest things ever, and look even more sweet with our Petite Plume Collection. We are so in love with this play set! How adorable would a little tot look in this? *Swoon*

This tunic and bloomers set make the perfect pair for a little gal who wants to be comfortable and stylish! The colorful, bright prints of Our Petite Plume Collection are fresh, happy, and oh-so perfect for this little tunic and bloomers set. You can also mix-and-match the top and bottom with other items, but together they are just too cute!!

It’s time for our weekly How To’s Day!! Today we are sharing another one of our fantastic project collaborations with you. Jennifer Hagedorn from Tie Dye Diva Patterns created the most adorable Tunic Dress and Bloomers Play Set for us, for our Free Projects Program, and we are launching the pattern for you today on the blog. Our Tunic and Bloomers Play Set is perfect for your little girl to play around in and be comfortable, while being absolutely adorable and girly at the same time. We absolutely love the bow and ruffle details on the tunic…and pockets? Yes, please! The bloomers are just as sweet, with the added ruching and bows – oh so cute!! We chose our Petite Plume Collection because it reminds us of Spring and Summer – we can imagine a little girl playing at the park in this play set, but then also strutting her stuff at a garden party or BBQ.

Because this tutorial includes two pieces, we thought it would be easier to split it into two posts. We are going to share the Tunic Dress Tutorial in this post, and the Bloomers Tutorial should be following suite. We are so thankful that we got the chance to work with the incredibly talented Jen from Tie Dye Diva – thank you SO much for creating the sweetest of play sets for our projects. Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far. The end of the Winter holidays only means the commence of all celebrations to follow (ie. Valentine’s Day, St. Patty’s Day, Easter, etc.). With the bountifulness of all the upcoming celebrations, having the appropriate attire is always *fitting*. And yes, from one woman to another, it’s honestly one of the best parts of a holiday – finding a new and pretty outfit to match! ;) But…how about the men in our lives?

Sure, a man can wear his best suit…but even they have the chance to amplify their outfit a bit. Changing up a necktie design is one of the easiest ways to start anew with a basic suit. Today we are sharing our DIY necktie tutorial with you all! Any design would look fantastic with our tutorial, but we especially adore our Iconic collection as an added freshness and modernity to a look.
