Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! Time for our How To’s Day!

And why not make it a How Two To’s Day as I can’t seem to decide which project I like most.

Looking at our Equestrian Collection for the Moody Monday blog got me looking at the fun DIY projects we made with the fabrics.  There are two that I really like.  They are quick to make and perfect to give to someone who loves horses.

Let’s start with the Soft Shell Tablet Case.  This lovely project was designed by Michelle Lopez from Hypernoodle and is just perfect for people on the go.  My mini I-Pad with keyboard fits perfectly inside.

Then, there’s the adorable Elevation Pillow.  The pattern was designed by Kristy Daum.  I just love how this pillow looks.  You can even use one of our fleece to make the back of the pillow to add more softness.  I remember that my son’s fourth grade teacher absolutely loved horses, this would have been a perfect gift at the end of the school year.

How about you? Which one would you make and for whom?

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a great day!! Today is National Milk Chocolate Day. Milk chocolate is delicious in pretty much any form – milk chocolate bars, milk chocolate cake, milk chocolate ice cream…and the dreamy list goes on and on!

It’s How To’s Day! Today we are featuring one of our beloved free pillow patterns on our website, the Elevation Pillow by Kristy Daum. Elevation is a beautiful modern pillow that creates a super cool “graph-like” design, while keeping the rest clean space. This pillow pattern allows for the sewer to mix-and-match different fabrics together, as the design is made up of smaller triangles. We love keeping each etched “line” more uniform in color, to separate the three individual lines, which creates a really cool feel.

We’ve had Elevation sewn up quite a few times, but we thought we’d share a classic favorite – with our What a Gem by Allison Cole collection. We adore how the whimsical prints look together in this one!

Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a wonderful day so far. It’s the last day to enter our Emilia FQ Bundle Giveaway, so head on over to our Facebook Page to enter!

It’s How To’s Day! Today’s tutorial is for a super pretty Bias Trimmed Pillow Sham by Marion of Made by Marion. This bias trimmed pillow sham is a fun twist on your basic pillow cover. Its diagonal design gives the pillow a modern feel, along with the trim detailing and easy back zipper closure. Make two (or more!) and spruce up your bed space – goodbye boring pillow cases, hello gorgeous pillow shams! We chose to feature our Emilia Collection, with its lovely purple and grey hues, which makes for a very feminine and soft look.

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is having a lovely afternoon!! Feeling crafty? Well we’ve got the perfect project for you today…

Because it’s Tuesday, which means it’s DIY day on the blog! This week, we are featuring our gorgeous Saybrook Island Pillow by Stephanie Palmer of Late Night Quilter! Saybrook Island is a modern, “scrappy” pillow design that allows you to have fun with mixing different prints together. This is a great pillow to use the “extra” fabric pieces that have been carefully stored “because you never know when you’ll need that strip for something” ;)

Well, crafty friends, Saybrook Island was made for all of those lone rangers. You can match different prints together, or choose a solid color palette too, but in the end you’ll have a pillow that is as pretty to look at as it is comfy. We chose to feature our Magnolia by Alisse Courter collection and love the feminine touches of the dainty flowers together.

Time for our How To’s Day! Today we are featuring a beautiful pillow pattern for our Free Projects Program, made by the lovely Veronica Koh Eischeid of VeronicaMade. Modern Cross is a fun take on a flower/star cross design, which is the focal point of the pillow. Mixing and matching different patterns is what makes this pillow awesome; we love keeping the background neutral so that the middle pops! We chose to feature our Paradise by Alisse Courter Collection with Modern Cross, choosing our bright orange, fuchsia, and purple prints for the middle, and a pretty floral, neutral background. We love how it turned out, and think it would be beautiful in any feminine space.
