Hi everyone,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having an amazing day. Have you entered our With Love Giveaway yet? Last day to enter!! :)

Time for our How To’s Day! Today we are featuring our Seeing Stars Quilt by Nancy Purvis of Owen’s Olivia. Seeing Stars is a gorgeous, modern quilt design that looks like glowing stars in the sky. Especially with our In the Navy by Jackie McFee collection – the little bits of metallic gold fabric makes the stars sparkle! This quilt would be perfect for added some sparkle to a bedroom or living room space.

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! We hope you all had a fantastic week – we are so happy for the long weekend… means extra time for sewing projects, quilting, and crafting! Anyone working on any fun projects this weekend? We’d love to know :)

Time for our weekly Fan Friday, and today we’re sharing the perfect project to kick start this long weekend. When we saw this In The Navy bunting banner by Little Birds Boutique, we knew we just had to share. Fran, owner and designer at Little Birds Boutique, is a Landscape Architect by profession. In 2007, she became a full-time stay-at-home mommy to her 3 year old twins. She started sewing after the birth of her girls, and never looked back. Her passion for sewing continued, and she began Little Birds Boutique as a way to share her creations with the world.

She started with bibs and blankets, but quickly expanded to kid’s clothing, headbands, bags, and even more adorable accessories for little kiddos. She loves the whole spectrum of running her business, from the initial design to the final product being sent out to its new home. And when she’s not sewing for her business, she’s still sewing things for her family – needless to say, she found her true calling!

We were so thrilled to see that Fran used our In The Navy by Jackie McFee Collection for her bunting banners. They look so fun and happy, perfect for a nautical-themed party or nursery room!! We love that she chose a fun mix of all the patterns, keeping it fresh with the navy and hot pink color scheme. As well, we love that the top stitch, though a necessity, also adds a fun element to the banner with its zig-zag pattern. We absolutely adore this bunting banner, and could imagine it brightening up any space – love the idea of it being above a bed or strung along a crib!

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! It’s just about the weekend, and we are so excited!! Does anyone have any plans for the upcoming weekend? We also want to take a moment to celebrate the late Nelson Mandela’s Birthday – such an inspirational and selfless man who helped make our world a better place. “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall.”

Time to end another fun week with our Fan Friday! Today we are sharing some beautiful projects created by Caroline from Tindell Design, her new Etsy Shop! Tindell Design is dedicated to modern, handmade bags and accessories for the fashionable women, kids, and babies of the world. Caroline just started up her shop, but she has already put up some really stunning designs. Her diaper bag is not your typical “practical” bag; it is very stylish and pretty so it makes for a great tote in itself! We adore the contrasting handles, and the adorable button closure. Caroline created a couple of versions with our In The Navy by Jackie McFee Collection, and we just love them! We love this one, and we especially adore this one.

Caroline also makes these adorable zipper pouches sets to keep your diaper bag or tote organized. They would also make great travel bags or makeup cases! We love this In The Navy one.

Loving this blanket too!! Caroline used the dot prints from In The Navy to create a comfy and stylish blankie for your little ones. Now they can be warm & cozy, and wrapped in the most beautiful of blankets! :)

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone is having a fantastic day so far. It isn’t the greatest of weather here today, but gosh is it hot and humid!! It’s days like these where all we want to do is stay indoors with the good ol’ AC :)

To liven things up a little bit here, we have our How To’s Day for you! With Summer officially here, that definitely means enduring in more outdoor activities…especially all things water-related! So excited for Summer days of swimming at the lake, catching up on a good book at the beach, and maybe even having a jet-ski adventure (…depending on how brave we’re feeling that day haha!). We always love a little nautical for the Summer, especially in fashion and décor. Who wouldn’t want to wear a navy and white striped dress and big floppy hat while cruising on the lake in a boat? Um, where do we sign up? :) But if you aren’t planning an adventure of the sorts this Summer either, have no fear…today’s How To’s Day is bringing the water to you!

Today we are sharing our tutorial on our Anchor Pillow, featuring our In The Navy by Jackie McFee Collection. And these two couldn’t be more fitting; our In The Navy collection features anchors, stripes, and dots in a fun navy, pink, and metallic gold color combination! We love the idea of a nautical-inspired guest bedroom or family room – add some decorative shells, some wood paneling, and a couple of our Anchor pillows on a striped couch…and you are all ready to set sail (…or at least it will feel that way haha!). Finish off the look for a nautical-inspired quilt, or two.

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! It’s time to round out the week with our Fan Friday post! Today we are sharing a very cute and sweet pattern shop, Create Kids Couture. Shannon and Tiffany are the two creative ladies behind Create Kids Couture, a fun pattern boutique that started in July 2011 with only 5 patterns. From there, the boutique quickly grew in popularity and have now expanded to over 300 patterns for babies, women, tweens, boys, dolls, and more! With Create Kids Couture, they strive to create patterns that are both easy to follow and pretty – ruffles and anything girly are a must!

Inspiration for their designs is often sparked from their daughters’ tastes and surroundings, but for their Ginger’s One Shoulder Dress, they were inspired by our In The Navy by Jackie McFee collection! So sweet so hear, and it seriously made our WEEK! The goal was to create a dress with the fabric collection that was summery and showcased a multitude of designs…and we definitely think they succeeded! The tiered design of this maxi dress is super lovely and we adore the bottom ruffled layer (we agree that one can never wear too many ruffles or color!). The pattern also comes with a top version, which is fantastic. This is the perfect cruise or garden party dress for a sweet, little girl!

She is absolutely adorable!! :) And the matching rose headband and necklace are perfect accessories!
